I don't really think it was necessary to ignore their word count. The question and answer probably could have been posted elsewhere, but I really don't think either of them were intentionally trying to spam.  Besides, those are really small word counts, and pointless to ignore, really

My father and my mother are Air Force. I guess due to my dad being gone a lot, him being deployed ALL THE TIME, it affected my relationship with him. As for my mother, she stopped right when she became pregnant and then in a year or two would give birth to my younger sister and would become a house-wife.

I'm not part of any branch of the military but I have family in the Army, Navy and Air Force in the US. I get to hear stories from them every once in a while.

I have a huge amount of respect for them because I see how tough it is sometimes. I know I couldn't do it.

geeogree: Well, I got in with the intention of going 20 plus years so I could get that retirement. Right now, I only plan on doing my three and getting out. I don't know if I could take being in the Army, and on top of that, my kyphosios really messes with things.
