Over the past few weeks the site has been a lot slower than usual. This is most likely because of a big increase in traffic over the past 2 months (daily traffic has increased by 10,000 over the passed 2 months, which is a 16% increase). Unfortunately, the increased traffic hasn't resulted into increased site revenue so this doesn't help the financial situation vizzed is currently in.

This basically means that I need to find some time to optimize the site, which will result into some down time. I'm not too sure when I'll get to doing this, it could this Friday, next Monday or next Tuesday. I've done a little optimizing over the past few days but nothing that would make the site permanently faster.

I'll try and post an announcement a few hours before the optimization maintenance begins.

I had noticed some unusual server strain lately. I thought that this might be due to a downgrade in speed because of money issues or something. I wasn't quite sure.

I hope that the revenue situation can be resolved soon. There has to be something we can do. A donation drive, something to get some money pumped into this site. You have pumped so much money into the RGR over the past year (especially). I just want to try to find a way where we can all give back.
