I think speedrun and high score competitions are pretty much the only things for Mario games...... ._.

maybe you can do a mario competiton where you have to speed run and get the high score so like if you get the highest score you get something like 10 points but then if you complete it in the lowest time you get 1 point

I have an idea. Mario 1-up contest. Pick a Mario game, then challenge people to see who can get to max lives the fastest-have them video it so there's no cheating. If you pick like Mario 3, there's all sorts of awesome 1-up tricks that every player knows, so it would be fair to everyone, and it'd be fun to see other people's tricks, because you might learn one you haven't seen yet.

Okay I read and considered everyone's ideas.
I still need to discuss this with the other mods but we are probably going to do monthly competitions using most of these ideas. I will need about 10,000 Viz total before I can start it. So if anyone wants to donate Viz to me I would really appreciate it.

Also, I think it'd be fun to work on some kind of betting thing. Like, every week, announce a poll you're going to put up the next week with two or three possible choices. Everyone can bet on which one they think will win, and send you their Vizz. Then have the poll up for a week, and divide the winnings amongst the people who voted for the right one (or in the case of three, you could have a numbering contest, as in, which one comes in first, second and third). It would keep people looking at the threads and it would generate traffic on your board, as people would be invested in getting people to vote there.
