I need to know what weapons would people choose to fight zombies attacking their house and I want to know what weapons would  you choose.

A shotgun, an Uzi, and some type of pistol and sniper guns.

Honestly I would have to go with a combination of a flame thrower and a machete or even a tomahawk. I figure if I can burn as well as cut and slash I would have a good chance of surviving this "Epidemic" I would also be ok with a chainsaw.

The best weapon is one you already know how to use. There's no way I'd be able to handle an Uzi'; I'd probably end up shooting off my own foot, for goodness sake!

I'd go with a nice, heavy broadsword for lopping off heads, and a hand-axe I could stuff in my belt. For long-range weapons I probably would get a shotgun, but i'd have to do some shooting with it to make sure I could use it.

Even a shovel would be a good weapon, especially if you sharped the edges.

As for a chainsaw...again, I'd probably do more damage to myself than the zombies.

Could use a few grenades though-toss them out the upper story, just make sure you don't let them go off too close to the house.

Since most people think that the guns they shoot in games will make them good at real-life, lets look at this through a more logical angle,

Most of you won't own a gun or even know how to use one, so even if you found one your more likely to hurt yourself than do damage to any "zombies"

Your more likely going to use a melee or close-range weapon, more specifically, a blundering or stabbing weapon.

Now depending on how the infection is spread, be it contact with blood you will probably want to go for a stabbing weapon over something like a sledge-hammer which would scatter blood everywhere and not to mention the fact it would tire you out extremely quickly.

Now I'd doubt you'll have a large sharp item in your household like a katana so that's out of the questions.
And you need to take into consideration the fact to kill a zombie, you need to remove the head or destroy the brain...
Now taking the fact that the human skull is thicker than the neck / spin your gonna go for a slash-type weapon...
So basically all I can say is buy a sword now... cause your not going to find guns or grenades for anyone who went and said grenades..

Where do you expect to find these grenades exactly?


And if anything I would try to avoid contact with zombies so basically find a shelter before you go whooping zombie heads off.

I would run into my kitchen and pick up the largest and most sharpest weapon in the kitchen 

Honestly? I would grab a shotgun, a hatchet, a few frag grenades, and head up on a roof somewhere. Oh, don't forget the food and water, lol.

I will answer this better later, as how I am getting a tattoo right now, but if the Ray Gun from Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie mode were real, that is what I would want to have.

I would use a Zanpakuto.. Senbonzakura infact..

Use Senbonzakura Kageyosh and destroy all the zombies near with the thousands of petals... Then i would use Gokei to create a cocoon around my self so the zombies cant touch this!

Grenades, an ak-47, and a lighter

Definietly not a flamethrower. Zombies can't feel pain, so they'd just keep charging in. What's worse than zombies attacking your house? Flaming zombies attacking your house and burning everything they touch to the ground.

Myself? if we want to be realistic, I'd grab a bat. It's accessible, and it's got a good reach. If I can pick anything, it would be some sort of sword (probably broadsword or katana), or a hatchet/axe.

Guns are all well and good, but what happens when you run out of ammo? The best thing you can do is to grab a blade (sword, machete, long knife, axe, etc.) or a blunt tool (bat, crowbar, big stick). Once you have that, you should go look for something with range. Find a gun store or a paranoid redneck's house and learn to use guns. Personally, I'd be all set. I've got plenty of swords, so I'd be walking down the street looking like an armory.

Oh, the joy of weapon choosing. To be honest, if a zombie outbreak happened right now, at this very second... I'd be using my computer. It's not like we'll have the Internet in an apocalypse, now, will we? After the guy/girl/child I'd bludgeoned to death stopped twitching, and I had a bit of time to inspect the body and attempt to call the police, I'd secure my house. Why? How the heck did they get into my house in the first freaking place? Seriously guys, secure the area before looking around for things and making big, messy, unnecessary noises.

After I'd secured the house, I'd inspect the body. Once I ascertained that, yes Virginia, there are such things as zombies now, I'd go wake my mother up. Though she'd be hysterical and likely wouldn't believe me at first,  I can't fathom leaving someone behind this early in the game. I'm not perfect; I need backup. I'd ignore the kitchen knives because unless you buy really high quality knives, those things will break off at the first sign of trouble, and will likely cut you in the process. At this point, you have no idea whether the cause of the outbreak is viral or supernatural.

I'd equip my mother with the laptop (this thing is huge), or take care of her, however the situation panned out. Then I'd grab my sword and my baseball bat and head to the gas station with the empty emergency plastic gas tanks my mom forces me to carry in my car. This part may seem stupid, but we'd need the gas for the trip ahead. I'd fill everything up, having my mom safeguard me with the bat as I did so. I'd stop by my grandparents and take care of them... Killing them or loading them into the car as necessary. Then I'd head to their shed and pick up a few tools. A garden hoe, an old-fashioned axe for chopping wood, and a shovel. I'd strip their garden of veggies and seeds, and a few plants if I could, and pack up as much bottled water and canned food as I could fit in their car. I'd steal their gas from their cars, get the tons and tons of alcohol my grandfather keeps in the closet, and load those too. Then I would head for my friend's place. He's a certified redneck. I'd steal one of their cars (they sure do love their cars...) and their guns and ammunition. I'd pack my family up and head to Massachusetts. I have family there. I'd check up on them, and have them tag along or kill them as required. We'd continue up until Canada, and plant the garden I'd had us bring along and hunt for our meat in some area, surviving out our days and killing zombies that encroached on our territory. All this with just a handful of weapons. Oh, before I forget... The alcohol would be for Molotov cocktails. I know they're highly inefficient in real life, but I just love watching zombies burn...

Dual desert eagle, dual SMG, G36, M203, battle axe, sword, flamethrower, RPG-7, rail gun, and a SPAS 12

I am currently in the military, so I would use whatever I could get my hands on...

I would go with my machete and my cousins survival knife so that way its a large blade but small enough to be fast so I could kill more zombies. Because guns you need to reload and they take ammo so once your out your screwed.

In an ideal situation I would like to use any gun that has a silencer on it, as that is the most logical thing to stealth take down zombies in your way without alerting the rest.

In a not so ideal situation I would settle for a baseball bat, it has range and force enough to drop a zombie lol
