Who is your favorite hero. Mine is shulk from xenoblade chronicles. Or maybe Link from Zelda. 

Mine is probably Roy from Fire Emblem 6: Sword of seals.

My favorite hero is Ness from Earthbound. He can use psi and he is a good basher.

my favorite hero is red from the pokemon games that take place in kanto he practically is a hero because he put a end to team rocket for three years but then team rocket came back then ethan permanently but red appeared in the first  pokemon games which i enjoyed 

I do have a top ten list, like many, but I do have an overall winner.
For the ninja category I have Hyabusa from "Team Ninja" developed games. ("Dead Or Alive" among others.)
For the monster section I have Yoshimitsu from the "Soul Calibur" Series.
For the testosterone section it's Ryu from "Street Fighter" Series.
For the demon section it's Dante from "Devil May Cry" Series.
For the cool division it's the Rogue Agent from "Golden-Eye. Rogue Agent."
The Science Fiction division goes to "Star-Killer" from "Star Wars" Games.
The Fantasy winner is obviously "Link" from any "Legendary" games.
The comic book variety winner is "Dead-Pool."("Wolverine" finally got his respect. Otherwise it would be his name for this section.)
General winner for most categories and especially the Forgotten Hits, Is "Neo" from "Enter the Matrix. The Path of...."
And the number one Hero (Title asks for a male. not a man.)?

"Conker the Squirrel." from "Conker's Bad Fur Day."

I like the traditional Hero, like many do. But I Really Enjoy the characters that don't attempt to be anything special. They just do everything in their power to get the job done right. While Conker would avoid this at any cost the game and story does not allow him to escape his duty and job. As funny as it sounds, Conker is a "hero" because he has no choice in the matters he deals with. Some times doing what ever you can is heroic. Regardless of Intentions or Reward.
The Rotten Squirrel gets my vote for number one.

Beastmode64 :   My favorite heroes are between Batman and Spiderman. Batman is awesome because he does what he wants and Spiderman can swing from web.

Mines is Wonder Woman because she got that work.

My favorite hero would have to be Mario, because he has to go through a lot always having to save Princess Peach.

My favorite hero is either Pokémon trainer Red from Pokémon, or Zero from Megaman Zero, I like them both because they are pretty bada*s and lone wolf hero types, that only relay on themselves.

My favorite hero is Teen Gohan from when he beat cell he went super sayian 2 and killed him with that powerful kamehameha wave to where he couldn't regenerate anymore.

Definitely Link. Especially Twilight Princess' Link. He's just an all around selfless guy. He risked his life on a few different occassions to help or protect someone else. That's just plain awesome. Besides, he has a sword. 'nuff said. lol

My favorite hero is Batman, the one from Arkham city.
