I was actually going to suggest them to you (Skillet). I tend to avoid quite a few of there's due to the massively god orientated theme of many of there songs but theyre good musicians.

I personally don't listen to much Christian rock, but if I had to chose, I'd pick Kutless or Third Day (but maybe the last one counts more as contemporary? I don't know, I'm more of a hymn person).

Dragonlord Stephi: Yeah, Third Day is probably contemporary. Most of their stuff is slower music. They are good though. And I'm not sure if the Newsboys are considered a rock or a pop band, but I like them a lot, especially their later work. And, or course, Skillet is amazing, and is about 10x better live. Nobody can compare to them live. Hope they come up with a new album sometime soon. And I like lots of Switchfoot's work too. I guess my favorite changes depending how I feel.

To be honest im not into the whole religion scene. i dont beleive in it but i am open and dont discriminate people over there beliefs, But i can say my favorite christian band is Underoath!
