Hey I don't play a lot of pokemon, i have recently started emerald and I started wondering which one i should start next.  I have only played diamond outside of this website so i wanted to know which of the pokemon games are better then the others on this website.  My friend told me to try crystal but i haven't but i thought if i get other opinions by other pokemon players maybe I can sum it up to a few pokemon games instead of renting them all then selling the ones that I didn't like as much.

I personally like Red and Crystal the most, although they're all practically the same! Some supposedly harder than others.

If I had to recommend a game to play here it would be Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2 for n64 because it's immediate battling, and the game play slightly differentiates from the typical, like with Red, Blue, Yellow, Crystal etc.

Nonetheless, they're all entertaining and if you don't want to play Pokemon Stadium (for whatever reason) I'd go with Crystal or Sapphire!

Mine is Pokémon Emerald 386. It's just Pokémon Emerald, but you can obtain every Pokémon, without trading. And another thing I like about it is it's a lot harder. The Wild Pokémon are about two levels higher than normal at the start, to about twenty levels higher towards the end. It's my favorite Pokémon game on this site.

That depends on who you are. If you want rare candies galore, go for Pokémon Frosty, as the first shop has them for a buck, as well a masterballs and a bike. If you are a classic gamer play the original games like Pokémon Red. But my personal favorite happens to be Pokémon Crystal All.

Since you said Emerald, I would have to think about that. I would have to maybe say any of the Gen I games or remakes. I am a huge Gen I fan. I collect almost every Gen I pokemon I see in my DS games.

Thank you for all your reply's to this thread.  I did not expect as much as there was.  I have tried a few of the ones you guys recommended and I'm glad you recommended them because all of them were fun.  But if I had to pick one that was my most favorite besides emerald it would be yellow because I liked all the Pokémon in the game and I liked the old music compared to the newer version ones.  So I thank you all for posting on this thread and please continue to do so I really like seeing your guys or girls opinion's and then seeing if I like them or not.  So thank you and keep on posting your favorite Pokémon game on this website.

i think the best pokemon game is pokemon yet another fire red hack because it has the pokemon from the first five generations and the gym leaders have higher level pokemon and their types have been changed. also you can battle the pokemon league again after you beat them the first time and they are harder

I personally think the best pokemon game on the site is Emerald, however that may be biased on my part as it was the game
I played most of ( Hard copy aka cartridge. ) on my Game-boy Advance. However there is reason to support that, such as the
Battle Frontier, it offers much more to the game and it's re-playability as it has a relatively hard battle experience within the
Battle Frontier. I also personally like how Steven comes back as the true champion and is the strongest fight in the game
excluding any held at the Battle Frontier.

Of course you may be looking for a Hacked game you have never played before, in this case I would highly recommend light
Platinum as it is the biggest and most detailed hack on vizzed, I would say it is one of the best hacks on vizzed and it has
earned that right. I mean seriously if you have ever played through it would understand how much effort went into producing
such an epic hack. Just make sure you don't get lost.

Like pokemon snakewood, about zobies taking over the region and the player has to defend themselves from the zombies and is a little hard but also gets somewhat easier as you progress and can get really sucked into it. You can also play Pokemon rebirth which is a hack of pokemon where you can catch all pokemon from previous generations in pokemon, even the starters where you can get then at the start of the game (First area of grass) I will have to agree that Light platinum is also good game and all.

I guess it all matters on you paitents level and what kind of games you like over all is all mattering if you would like a hack more then a normal pokemon game and which hack.

Ruby destiny Reign of legends by jagold would have to my favorite simply due the sheer amount of effort he puts into his games completely changing the story-line and maps, usually adding a bit of a sinister twist to everything. One of the main flaws with Pokémon is the story which jagold has fixed in all of his games if you're looking for an interesting and long game of Pokémon that you will likely know nothing about  then those are the games for you. 
Other games I would recommend are Pokémon fulligin and Pokémon snakewood two very unusual yet interesting games.
