What do I think will end the world?, Well I think the world will end by the sun, the sun will
go into its final life cycle stage and burn out then explode and since
we have been destroying the ozone layer, it won't be large or strong

Divine Aurora : Thing is, our sun isn't big enough to explode (or implode in this matter). It is a size of star that will swell and die out leaving a white dwarf behind. But it will swell large enough to engulf the Earth. But what we do to our ozone layer will not really effect the planet being affected by solar wind. Because the inner core of the earth is a solid ball of iron surrounded by melted iron (outer core), it creates a magnetic field around the planet that gives it protection from solar wind. The only way for that to change is when the Earth's core eventually runs out of energy, cooling the outer core into a solid, which takes away the magnetic field our planet has. Then our atmosphere will be ripped to shreds (but the planet will remain intact).

Depends on what we mean by end the world? If you mean the earth totally disappearing or being blown to pieces then I would have no idea. Honestly though, the most likely cause will be US. Humanity will most probably exhaust all that keeps the world alive before it even get's destroyed. I'm sure by the time the sun swallows up earth we will either have left earth for a new planet while it stays a giant ball of dust or we will not have the technology to reach a new planet and the human race will die out.

I think the world will end of a meteor. That or the sun will die out but humans will not be alive by then. We would be all wiped out. A meteor wiped out the dinosaurs it might happen to us. The moon is getting farther away from us every day and soon it will fly off  and the tide will go crazy. It is impossible to know for what will happen. If i sound like a nerd tell me. YSkipperY : Wouldn't  say tides would go crazy. Both the moon and the sun are what cause the tides, not just the moon. If the moon got far enough away, the tides would be a lot less active because it would then only have one gravity force instead of 2. High tide would always be in the places where it is day time and low tides would always be in the places where it is night.

I think global warming will end the world as when temperature rises the ice caps will melt which will cause flooding leaving most countries submerged also ending most forms of life.

However I don't think the earth itself will end till the sun explodes which isn't gonna happen in about 10 million years or so.

This might sound maybe a little crazy but I believe the world will end due to a possibility of the return of an Ice age. but if that doesn't happen then the sun might die out but that wouldn't happen for a few million years I believe.

The nearby city of Pripyat has become a home to various species of animals instead of humans. Sure there are mutations on the cellular level (caused by exposure to the radiation) but laws of "adapt or die" won't diminish and neither will other general principles of nature and evolution.

In short: I think the planet will survive a global nuclear war, but other things that rcarter2 mentioned will probably end the planet.

I am supposed to think positive, but the end of the Earth is inevitable, but waaaay after our race is extinct or everyone will move to Mars. I am going with the theory that the Sun will engulf the closest three planets and become a supernova. As some one else said, there may be an Ice Age due to the earth going in cycles, but living organisms have survived through that.

I'm not sure it really matters because with all likelihood humans will have ceased to exist for billions of year prior. In my opinion it will be the black hole theory. The sun runs out of fuel and turns into a black hole that sucks up everything that it can pull into its gaping maw. Either that or a collision with another solar system or galaxy.
