I always wanted more star wars movies, but i wanted them about things like star wars knights of the old republic, the mandalorian war, the first empire,the true sith in the outer rim etc. i think making more based on the original is a bad idea, it ended well, leave it there.
i also dislike that it was disney that bought it. they made some terible movie that riped off about 7 others including starwars and they lost millions. i dislike disney and i think they may ruin it.

thenumberone : Hmm maybe. I've seen that they bought other stuff (like Indiana Jones franchise). But I'll have to do some research before I can say its true; but still the details aside. Disney owns Lucasfilms and plans for Star Wars VII.

On the bright side, Lucas won't be making the next trilogy, so hopefully it won't end up like the prequels. We also have a better chance at getting SW Battlefront 3 or KOTOR 3. So, I think this acquisition is actually a good thing.

Benpsycho : I think that is the best part about Disney buying LucasArts... a possibility of Battlefront 3 and also maybe Kingdom Hearts 3 including Star Wars???

Oldschool41 : Personally, I'm looking forward to this with an open mind. Disney has been doing good with movies in general lately (Wreck It Ralph looks awesome) lately and I believe anything to do with the original trilogy will be great. All I can THINK about is Star Wars... too bad I don't have the original footage. It makes me so upset that they won't release it still!!!! Hopefully under new ownership the original movies will be remastered without any hocus pocus effects made by Lucas. No disrespect to him but still there should be at least the option between the digital and original.

So since Disney has rights to both Star Wars and Indiana Jones, will they make the next Star Wars as disappointing as the last few? I think that it will actually be worse, just my opinion. And do you think that they will make another Indiana Jones? Don't know, but I don't know how much Disney will be able to do with this. Star Wars doesn't look as cool as it used to, and Indy is most likely finished.

Oldschool41 : Right when we all thought George Lucas would stop giving us headaches, he lets Disney do so.... What has this world come to? Now this means more nasty fan-fictions, more men in their 40's going to comic-con, and another reason for people to try to convince me to leave my home...

Do I mind that another Star Wars movie is being made?
Not really, I gave up on the franchise when The Phantom Menace came out.
Really for me I can't be disappointed because I have nothing but low expectations
And heck who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I don't See the Merit in fussing over stuff people have no control over.
If you don't like Star Wars, Don't Watch It. I employ this trick with the Twilight stuff. I don't partake, endorse, or encourage. The Star Wars Trilogy (4-6) was great, the Comics (Dark Empire) were a blast, The Games were 50/50 split of awesome and horrible, and the books were 50/50 divide between good distraction and mild genius. Like the Aliens versus Predator stuff, you have to pick the best and ignore the rest. The old guys at conventions however are a strange thing for people to even mention though. I thought anyone willing to pay for that stuff needed to get out more. Just a thought though.
Disney buying them out?
I think its obvious that Disney wants to own ALL of our kids interests. Take the Marvel Buyout as an example. None of us are going to stop this from happening. Just be glad it doesn't mean another Twilight saga or something to that effect. I think it would be easier to lock up a person and haul them off to the loony bin for looking like a storm trooper than it would if they dressed like a fictional teen from a vampire movie.
Again Just A Thought.

I don't think we should start getting excited about it yet because it comes out in 2015 that's in two years but Iam looking forward to it

I'm a bit disappointed in the choice of company that Lucas decided to give the Star Wars franchise for-Disney has some good things, that's true, but they're also known for grinding things into the dirt and ruining perfectly wonderful movies (Cinderella) with horrible, terrible, just-for-profit sequels (Cinderella 2). I'm not going to get overly bent about it, but some of my more hard-core friends are raging. As far as I'm concerned, it's not really anything I can change, so I'll just probably skip the movie and watch it when it comes out on cable. 

I don't really want to anticipate what Disney has done to star wars... it can only go two ways... bad or good.
I mean if they do finish them, Will that make Leia a fully fledged Disney princess :L
