legacyme3 : You have a point there. Seeing that both you and I started off in the Crazy House points to a possible trend for Newbies. I just wish there was something I could do to improve the overall post count and quality of this place. But no, a site for retro games isn't going to attract many young adults besides those who just want to play. :/

Only 1 DQ today... but it was a repeat offender.

I feel like people are letting me take this huge lead lol. I've put way more effort into the VCS in the past and not even come close to how well I'm doing now. I suppose it could be because all the active users have gone back to school.

I think it's a combination of that and the fact the Tour de Vizzed is next month.

I just haven't had the motivation to post the past month or so. It's been a little harder, with most the topics being pretty much redundant.

Do not worry, I am sure we will not finish this month with a top ten list of spammers.

I had to smile about someone getting their second DQ right after Aura's comment. But even though we may see a record set in the number of DQ's, I still feel like this VCS is gonna be more enjoyable than the last one. It just feels like there are a few members having fun posting who happen to be breaking the rules for a contest they don't really care about. Before the people getting DQ'd were always in your face about how well they were gonna do, only to take a dump all over the forums in an attempt to increase their post count.

So I can't post for fun in the forum games?  Not really much you can type in there. I don't try to spam you know.

There are a few rules.

1. Spam Forum Rule - Polls and Questions, Crazy House, Video Game Craziness, and Newbie Forum. If over 25% of your posts are in any of those 4 forums, you get DQ'd. The day you got DQ'd, you had like 27% or so in Crazy House.

2. No Spam - If your average word count for the day is below 20, I'll probably DQ you for putting no effort in.

3. This Thread has a post limit per day - I don't need to enforce it much anymore, but if you post here more than 5 times in a single day, I DQ you on principle.

Yeah, I had a little laugh too. Despite the fact we've had many spammers already, I'm actually enjoying this VCS as a spectator, and less as a poster. My posting drive has really vanished lately. Once I hit 20k and pass geeo, there's little to do with quantity. I have always prefered QUALITY to quantity, but I'm really focusing a lot more on it lately.

It's pretty sad to see that I jumped from 7th to 3rd because of DQs.

I see why I got a DQ. Not sure how but I don't remember seeing that spam forum rule. It's whatever. It's not like I'm gonna win, it's just for fun.

May I ask what "NR" is? I didn't see it in the FAQ... I possibly overlooked it. (I just now discovered this thread and had to go through it a few times to understand exactly what was going on. This is the only thing that I don't understand any more.) 

Oh man, I forgot about the VCS this month, I don't think I'll win it this time though but I will try.

Example - Let's say David won a day, and had no internet the next day, but came back and got third the day after. The day his internet went out, he'd be ranked Off the Charts, but the day he got it back, he'd be third, but have an NR for not ranking the previous day.
