Ugh, I made this board because I was playing the GBC game Mario Tennis and I beat the whole singles portion in one night, which involved some serious button mashing.

I woke up this morning with a mild case of carpel tunnel syndrome, which basically means my wrist joints a sore and strained.

My right wrist is fine, but my left wrist, which is the one that was pressing the A and B buttons, is sore and weak at the moment.

I know that there are several games that have the capabilities of doing that to a person. I am curious to know which games fall under this category.

Great thread bobq! I have played a couple of games that have made my hands hurt. Mostly spaceship shooter type games or anything that requires a lot of button mashing. Some games i have noticed that it doesn't take long at all and my hands will start hurting, like fighting games are pretty bad about that. Right now i use a keyboard so really here lately it has been the way i prop my arms up to play and i have to stretch them out.

I remember when I first got my Xbox 360, I was playing it for 3 weeks straight, day and night. This was during Christmas break, so I had a lot of time on my hands.

Donkey Konga! That game, with all the slapping of the bongos, and clapping. It hurts my hands. That, and the weird game for the Wii that you put the remote on a box and hit the box. Forgot the name of that game, but it was not very popular any ways.

I played Halo Wars, Halo Reach, Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4 all in one sitting on regular difficulty in one sitting. That gave me some serious carpel tunnel for a few days. I couldn't go to the gaming lounge. :'(

This is an easy question for me, I think that mario super smash bros brawl is by far the only game that makes my hands hurt, sure a few battles and I am fine, but since it is such a great game and I play it so much, it makes my hands hurt after playing it for such a long amount of time. This is a great job and with all o the controls and buttons you press in the game, it is bound to cramp your hands at some point! But it is an awesome game and if it means making my hands hurt a little, then it is all worth it!

F1 06 made thumb and inside hand cramp up sometimes when you are pushing hard. Sprintcars 2002 at some tracks and Rugby games trying to sprint sometimes made your hands hurt. Colin McRae rally made your hands hurt when you had played for more than 10 minutes.

All of the games I play can do it if I play them long enough, but the worst ones are Dark Souls, because I'll be holding the shield button down for so long and my hands are in a weird position for it anyway sometimes, and Killing Floor, because of so much motion with the mouse and the numerous times I'm clicking. :/ Sometimes Darksiders when I'm having to spam the attack button, but that one isn't so bad that I've noticed. So really, for me, it's just what I'm playing and how long I'm playing it.

Typing starts to hurt after a while too so it's like okay, no matter what I do it isn't going to be all that much fun after a certain amount of time. XD
