In the Genesis account, only earth is fully specified. In this account it does speak about creating the expanse and stars and heaven as he did anything else. When examining the Bible, one must realize God only says what he needs to say. In the words of Ken Ham; the bible isn't simply a text book that explains all these little details in depth like a science book. It is simply his plan for creation.

I don't have a specific theory. No-one even really knows how anything was made. I believe God did it though.

BluemageKyle : In the Bible it says "He created the heavens and the Earth", meaning he created all things. So yes, he created the solar system as well.

My "Christian" theory on how the planets were made is just as it says in Genesis 1:15-17.

" And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth "

Basically my theory is that God made a firmament (dome) around the earth then placed the sun,moon and stars (planets were just stars in those days) onto the firmament. Any one who tells you otherwise is lying. If any scientists say that planets and stars are way out in the middle of space and far away from Earth they are obviously lying and not following God's word. Kind of like how Evolution is all a lie. They can't be far away from Earth because the Bible says that God put them in the firmament that surrounds Earth, and the Bible is the Word of God.

This theory isn't Christian, but isn't it possible that maybe, just maybe, the planets were made by atoms mixing together, and making solid/vaporous bodies of mass/anti-matter that have varying cores and surfaces?

The bible does tell about the creation of space.  The stars, the sun, the firmament.. all of it was created by Him in the seven days.  More specifically, God created the other planets and space on the fourth day when He created the stars.

My interpretation begins with the simple fact that in my idea that the Bible is just a history of the Earth, as the other planets don't have life that we know of we can't prove that any other planets have a book like the Bible about its original history.   
God is the Big Bang, he appeared and everything created in the fiery explosion.   Our little solar system was paid the special attention any life bearing system would be given, not to say any other systems were neglected, but a special detail was given to ours since He created us to live in this solar system.   The Sun was the first thing created in the system, there needed to be a center for God to expand from, and use to be the center of most of Earth's life.   I say this due to the fact that God used the sun to provide for the plants he created on our planet.   Venus was made second as a test for his greatest creation, its reverse rotation and heavy gas proved to be a perfect beauty in the sky, but not the home to Humans.   Mars was third as a second test, slightly farther out as God was trying to find the right place for his creation.   Mars was created as a red planet with polar caps, and land features; something Venus didn't have much of.   Soon Earth would be the center piece of the Solar System.   Earth was the fourth to be created, dedicated to be the host to God's creations talked about in Genesis and the Bible.   But three planets was not enough, God created Mercury and the Asteroid Belt to close off his home for Humans and all Earthly creations.   
Following this He then formed the Gas Giants, with Jupiter being a mini solar system; that his creatures would marvel at for years.  Saturn was created to show off his Majesty of creation, showing off what He is capable of.   Neptune was formed to showcase even more of the spectacle He had left after Saturn.   Uranus was the odd ball, much like Venus, to create two planets that were different from any other.   That is what I find to be true, or a theory at least!

BluemageKyle : Why thank you my good sir. However I think it goes against the idea of an all powerful, all knowing, perfect being we call God. God shouldn't need to create a "rough draft" for something that he knows he can create. (Its still my idea thou).

God created the Heavens, the Earth, and everything in them in 6 days and on the seventh day He rested. God made everything through the Word. The LORD GOD spoke and it came to pass. He made all things according to His good pleasure.
