I was thinking to myself the other day, " What if T.V didn't have any
commercials ? " I think this would effect companies sell's in general.
For example , fast food places like McDonalds, Wendy's and Burger King.
You wont be able to see what new advertisements they have. Since there
are no commercials I believe there would be even more ad's where ever
you would walk. You would see more ad's in train station's , inside store's,
buses , elevator's . . . etc .

What are your opinion's about this ? What do you think would be affected ?

Maybe, if T.V. didn't have any commercials, indeed, like you said would affect the companies sales in general, and things that could interest you and you didn't knew about would never be found or you would find it too late.
But there's something good, when you're watching your favorite shows there would be no interruptions and it would appear a ad of a perfume exactly during the show is showing even while the show is rolling at the moment! But at least in a not very important moment, but it's annoying.

I think TV would be more enjoyable, but I agree, there would be many more ads everywhere, on every other type of media. All in all, I think it would cause more harm than good.

Then, it's not T.V... Even if most part of us hate them, we must admit that it wouldn't be the same without them... When are we going to go to the bathroom or to get something to eat? I bet no one wants to do it while his/her favorite show is on, isn't?

There are also times when different stations change when a show breaks to go to commercials. When TBS airs Family Guy here in the US it'll fade to black without going to commercial as well, and instead place commercials at different, often far more inconvenient, points in the episode.

A lot of the responces made good points such as ad companies would no longer pay money for their ads to show, making T.V more expensive for viewers! Plus how would people know about the son of baconater sandwich? So yea all hell would break loose if not for the commercials haha.

There are advertisements everywhere so why would we need them on TV. Well because the people that control that control the channels need money and the service is not going to give them money. So they rely on commercials. Still if there are no commercials, we can see full length movies on TV. They get skipped on some parts because of commercials.

Television ads always give people excuses for a bathroom break (or just any small break in general). If there weren't any commercials, I couldn't go get a beverage or food without missing part of the show. Besides that, companies wouldn't get as many sales and you wouldn't see any funny commercials anymore.
