My favorite game franchise is probably gonna go with Mario, since I grew up with it and still find ways to enjoy most of their games, despite my age. It's just honestly a good consistent franchise that has a great library and even branches to great rom hacks to keep me interested as well!

if i could consider chrono trigger a franchise id go with it, but with only 1 game to its name i feel it doesnt qualify. so ill say suikoden, its everything i love about jrpgs with a unique world and mechanics and it has the collection aspect i enjoy in platformers and games like monster rancher or pokemon. no other series gets anywhere near it for me.

You know, unlike my last post in October 2013, this can completely change, but on top of my list for basically the past 4 years, Pokemon has been my #1 most favorite gaming Franchise, and Pokemon has been in the top 3 for like the past 7 years (since my return interest in 2011), and the earlier years of like Pokemon between 1999-2004. I liked Pokemon for like a total of 12 years, which is half my life.

Mine is the indie game series Aveyond. Most people have probably never heard of it, but some of the games are available on Steam and they're amazing. The world is vast and appealing, the characters are so much fun, the dialogue is both funny and meaningful, there are tons of sidequests and other things to do, and it's just an overall good time. The first Aveyond game was what introduced me to RPGs, believe it or not, and I was instantly hooked. Don't get me wrong, I love Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc., but I'll forever hang on to my Aveyond.

Honestly, I'd probably say Metal Gear. Outside of what Konami has done to it recently with pachinko and Metal Gear Survive, it's probably one of the best stealth game series I've ever played. The storylines are pretty insane most of the time, but I got used to it over time...not to mention it definitely stands out from most stealth games and their more grounded plotlines, like Splinter Cell. It just kinda sucks that stealth games have lost a lot of popularity that they had, mostly being relegated to standard action-adventure games where it's possible to sneak but not necessary at all.

Favorite all time is definitely Mario but if you asked me currently i'd have to say Mortal Kombat. Each game in MK's history has been a must buy for me and it isn't even close. I haven't been able to get a switch yet just based on my time. So many games to play and too little time

I have to update my list again. After playing Hollow Realization a lot recently, I fell in love with the Hollow Fragment series of Sword Art Online Games. That one is one of my favorite games of all time now and I like the ones that come after it a bit, so it quickly became one of my most favorite franchises along with Persona, Pokemon, and Monster Hunter.

My favorite franchise by far is the Metal Gear Solid series. The deep lore, the intricate gameplay (in most cases), and memorable characters all compliment each other really well for an irreplaceable series. It's a bit hard to explain it in detail, but it's always been a huge passion of mine. I plan to replay all of the games soon.
