In all sonic games ? That's a lot to post . But I would say
the hardest stage I played in an Sonic game would have to
be from Sonic Unleashed ," Eggmanland " .When I first
played this stage it took me a couple of lives to beat it and its
very , very long .The stage is the combination of an amusement
park and a factory. It resembles a fusion of an Circus Park , Lava Shelter
 ,Hot Shelter and Final Egg .

One word, Eggmanland. Yes, the Sonic Unleashed one, it took me 1 hour on my first try (maybe because it was 3 in the morning) and surprisingly, I got a C. Or Chun-nan night, don't remember the act, the one with lots of switches. Man, I really raged on that one, cannot jump properly, can't hold from edges, the walking in the narrow paths in NORMAL WALKING, so you have to be extremely careful. Overall, it was just unpleasant.

With sonic 06 half the time it comes down to not glitching through a level so that you don't die.... In Sonic 2, Metropolis Zone was the one that gave me the most trouble because it was so damn long and in fact it was the only level with three Acts. Sonic 3's hardest level I think was Hydrocity Zone Act 2 namely the big wall coming at you. If you got too far behind then you are screwed with a capital F. Sonic & knuckles toughest level I believe is Lava Reef Zones because it was hard to tell where to go at times. The reason I considered these levels the hardest were because the games were pretty much downhill after you got through these said levels.
