i don't know if anyone noticed, but I have not been posting the past couple of days. As soon as the Retro Game Room competitions started 2 days ago, I have focused on that. But one of them is almost pretty much completed, so I will be back when that happens. But it is just a few days away from Spring Break, which is when I will be taking my week long leave, so I don't expect to be high in the ranks here by next Friday. I am already close to losing my current top spot. 

Ahh... so with people making so few posts I might be able to rank for once. 8 seems like a number I can surpass.

Its kind of funny that its even taking the passion to update out of Leggy with the activity slowing down.

I'M NOT EVEN TRYING!!! Come on people, you make this a disgrace for the people who actually FOUGHT for ranks in the previous VCS competitions! I remember when I had to fight tooth and nail just to keep second in the 2011 February VCS... Not even for first! ...

I'm worried that Leggy has lost all interest in updating this thread lol.

I've been trying to stay active in the forums, but I don't think it's gonna be enough to win...we shall see though!

I haven't lost interest in updating... my internet has been out. As a rule of thumb, check my activity. If I'm not online it's because my internet is out.

To be fair, I don't think any of us are trying this month... I know I'm definitely not, and I'm pretty sure rcarter isn't either.

When the top 2 aren't trying, and are still winning, that's how you know nobody is trying.

That said, if anyone actually is trying... I apologize, because it's really not hard at all to finish top 10 this month. At all.

I don't mean to pry but is David aware of this lack of board activity? I mean just look at those monthly standings. Seems to me like David has been in the RGR more than anywhere else on the board yet he's still in the top ten.

And call me a hypocrite but even I am tired of hearing how little activity there is. ... Then again, maybe I just don't know what to think of all this. :V

Heh, I would be a bit peeved if I was him too. But good news will come in the horizon hopefully following the TDV and the server migration away from GoDaddy.

We keep talking about how inactive and stuff the board is, but it doesn't sound like a lot of people are doing anything about it.

Then again, people must be busy or occupied so that might be why not every one is posting.

pacman1755 : Well yeah, that's the second effect. Once a month is lost due to being busy, leaving, etc. it just stops all momentum of posting on the site and we all lose energy after that. xD

Hopefully it'll be made up during the Tour de Vizzed next month. Maybe the colors will motivate people to post more.

There are a combination of things for my inactivity on the board lately. I have been busy with classes (I'm a semester and a half away from graduating, so of course I'm busy ). I was really working on that screenshot hunter competition for a few days, so that kept me busy. A few of my work locations no longer have a wireless signal from the surrounding houses/buildings, so that cuts down. Next week will be because I'll be in Nebraska. So yeah. I am also wondering if the release of the new systems in the Retro Game Room has anything to do with the board inactivity. Or has the Retro Game Room activity been low too?

Yeah the forum activity really sucks, I'm really hoping that after we switch to hostgator and the site is back at full speed again, posting will pick up. I think with how slow the site gets on weekends and how much the site has gone down over the past few weeks, users have been turned off from posting. I think that'll change though when the pages are lightning fast and when the TdV starts back up next month.

Next month I'd also like to get back into implementing a few forum features, been working on the RGR a lot lately (and some future features) and not enough on the forum itself. The last big thing I did for the forum was create the TdV and that was toward the end of December and early January when I worked on that.
