I hit up my state congressmen, I signed multiple petitions, and I've raised awareness among family.

It's a pretty decent issue.

www.twitter.com is going to be up all day, as well as Facebook, and the two sites will help in spreading awareness for the event. If you have a Twitter account, you can tweet the tag #SOPASTRIKE to spread even more awareness!

I've signed petitions and did the above. Now you all can do it too! (cliche ftw)

By the way, sites like Wikipedia and Google are also adjusting their sites as part of the protest, some of them shutting down completely.

It doesn't matter how much you do, if each person does at least at least one thing, we might be able to bring SOPA down. There are so many good sites at stake... 

Don't Drop The SOPA because your millionaire friends who are protesting against it have been and will be screwing you even more in the years to come whether sopa passes or not. Don't believe me now, but wait and see when the web is nazi'd up to the degree of youtube without passing any bills. Someone is playing a joke on us and its not congress, its those who are dropping the sopa pretending to be screwed when it is them who are screwing you all along

I have read SOPA and, i want more than anything for it to go away. I have done all i can here, but is Vizzed participating in the strike?

Well if vizzed does get shut down by SOPA just secretly make a new one, email us the links (with our account; we need a email to register) and don't put the new one on any search results. Well I will try my best so that vizzed won't get shut down but I'm only 14 so I won't be able to do too much (unless you know something else I could do)

I've put a "stop sopa" sign on my profile pic for facebook, I've tweeted, still signing petitions, and im getting my family to understand how this will effect them. 

I understand the sense in this, if this bill wont even stop piracy even a little bit, why go on in passing it? where have the minds of these people gone? maybe they never had them to begin with...

Alright I've signed the petition and told a couple other people about it. I cannot believe this stupid law. Whats so wrong about sites where users have the ability as to whats on the site? But lets hope this bill doesn't pass. I'll do everything I can to do my part in stopping this bill.

The local congressman is deaf to the issue, but I am gonna keep trying.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the SOPA and PIPA bills and how they operate. Since you will be voting on PIPA on Jan 24th, i wanna know what exactly people are voting for.
If there is a copy of PIPA, can anyone plz send me a link or something? I wanna read the bill itself.

C'mon guys. Let's stop this bill. A whole bunch of people WILL be suffering if this was passed, and I'm not kidding. People use the internet to talk to their family, and what about homework that requires a pen-pal? Does the government realize how much damage they are dealing by doing this? Do they realize how many people require that this bill is not passed? Do they not realize that phones are not the only way that people contact very important people to them?

I'm out of steam... just stop this act. I don't want to be playing Guitar Hero by myself 24/7.

I have been very busy as of late, however, Admins - I have tried hard to spread great words about Vizzed to anyone I meet even those from the Free (nonprofit) Clinic I work for.  Today when I learned of SOPA, thanks to your staff and Wiki going on a Blackout strike, I was compelled to note all 3 congressman of the state of Texas, and write a very VERY long 1,000 word letter detailing every site I need and use.  Now, I wish to share with you one of the closing paragraphs in that letter.  I too am doing everything I can, thank you for letting me know of this horrible thing they are doing.

"PROTECT IP Act was written to reclaim lost time and life spent on the net.  Those who do agree will believe this, however my Job, Career, and over all Future is Dependent upon sites such as Twitter, Wiki, and Youtube.com.  Keeping kids off drugs, I found that Vizzed.com also helps greatly keep their spare time used in their imagination and betterment of each of them.  The passing of this bill will result in a direct crash in everything I work for, live for, and the innocent lives too distracted from street crimes and drugs will ultimately go looking for something else to bide that spare time with.  Leaving a reminder, the real Piracy of media is drawn from professionally trained hackers who do NOT use HTTP and DNS information.  By shutting this much down, you will only make their work easier and that much harder to find for other local and national law enforcement established for the net.  Otherwise I strongly suggest back engineering "BitTorrent" to learn how it's actually done before trying to point fingers aimlessly like Congressman Walter has (who I am firmly ready stand up and request an intimidate removal of office for endangerment of children's well being).  This said, I am not only embarrassed, but down right outraged to see how openly the current congress is Allowing this kind of attack to even be considered with such ill knowledgeable statements and rude remarks that hold no creditable stance nor should even be said by anyone without proper training and use of the technology we the people share and use for betterment and self-awareness that we do today."

i seen videos on YouTube i heard for now its on hold but they can make the bill a reality if this passes we can all just say goodbye now and goodbye to this awesome website where else can you get all this in one place.
