What type of food you make?

I make a great potato soup. It's made of potatoes(duh), mozarella cheese, cilantro, and secret herbs and spices to taste great.

I made pan-fried chicken just last week. It was my first time. Despite that, it looked quite good. I didn't put enough seasonings, perhaps the drumsticks used were too big, but other than that, I thought it was a successful first attempt. I'd love to try and make it again.

The first one I like to make, is chicken with mozzarella cheese, pepper and tomatoes. The second dish is chicken soup, with veggies, noodles and potatoes with my own seasonings. They're yummy.

I cook all the time. A lot of my time and planning revolves around finding ingredients for recipes, saving large batches, planning leftovers, etc.

What I make is really quite varied and I can't think of a single dish I make all the time, but the food type I cook the most often is probably pasta dishes. I like to make giant batches of chunky vegetable spaghetti sauce and freeze them in portions for later use. I also make fruit smoothies, fruit ice cream, salad dressings, bean and rice burritos, chickpea salad sandwiches, and curry lentil soup, more often than other foods.

Soon, I also want to start baking my own loaves of whole grain bread.

I've never made anything from scratch all on my own, or at least I can't remember doing so, but I do help my grandma make food quite often.

She always used to make chicken noodle soup, everything from scratch. I love it so much, I wish I had some right now .

She also makes this tuna noodle casserole, everything from scratch, and it is also so good.

I wish I knew how to make those dishes, because I would make them at least once a week. :3

I make this thing I call "sausage mash", which is instant stuffing, one of those big rings of sausage, and a bunch of veggies - tied together with spaghetti sauce. It's redonkulous. Not the healthiest or most "from scratch" because I use instant stuffing but I don't have the time to make my own. The best thing about sausage mash is actually because it's so quick and simple to make, and my family just goes bananas for it, hah.

Also, I make an insanely delicious chicken soup. I vary the recipe slightly depending on what I have on hand, but it's always scrumptious and healthy. Also, has tons of leftovers and is fortunately just as yummy when reheated. =)

I'm not great at cooking or making up homemade recipes. The best that I've got is grilled cheese with eggs, and it doesn't take a genius to make that. xD

One thing you don't have to cook is orange juice with whipped cream. It's actually really good. It tastes like an orange creamsicle.

Heh, I can't really create anything original on my own. I mean, I've made burgers, omelets, and such, but nothing right off of my head that was original.

The closest I came to original was an omelet, though.

You'd be surprised how proud you would be of something you stuck in a blender. I did peanut butter, strawberries, and milk.

Spoils: 8 fluid ounces of deliciousness.

becerra95 : No, I don't see why you would bake it. Have you ever heard of baked creamsicle?

I usually just take orange juice and whipped cream, mix them, and just drink it.

But I've never thought about freezing them before. Maybe I can make my own posicles like that.

To be honest with you I don't try to get too inventive in the kitchen most of the time because I'm scared that I will make something that sucks, and I will have to throw it away...I mean hell, food is expensive!

I can only think of one thing I do that's special. I take beef stew, mix it with sour cream and heat it up. Then I take the mixture and pour it into a pan, preferably glass. Then I put biscuits on top of the mixture. When they get brown on the top I flip them. Then, once the biscuits are done, I take the pan out of the oven and serve. Usually, the best thing to do is put a biscuit on your plate and pour some of the mixture on top of it. Yum yum. My grandma calls it Beef Stroganoff, but I've never heard of anyone else making Beef Stroganoff that way.

Sometimes I'd make toast and just put something sweet like ice cream on it.

Not too original, but an idea...

I one time made a sandwich with Doritos in it for some reason. It tasted great, but I don't think I will do it again. I was like 10 or 11 when I did that.

I make great Mexican Sugar Cookies... here is the recipe if you want to try it out:

1 tablespoon baking powder
¼ cup orange juice
2 ½ cups shortening
2 cups white sugar
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon ground aniseed powder
6 cups all purpose flour
½ tablespoon cream of tartar

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Beat the shortening for a few minutes then add the aniseed powder and half the sugar.

Mix well. Add the eggs, flour, cream of tartar, salt, orange juice and baking powder and blend well.

Knead the dough until it is smooth, and then roll it to ½ inch thickness on a floured board.

Use a cookie cutter to make shapes.

Bake the cookies for about 6 minutes or until they are firm.

Combine the cinnamon with the remaining sugar.

Roll the Mexican sugar cookies in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are warm.
(i got this recipe from http://www.mexicandessertrecipes.net/Mexican-Dessert-Recipes/mexican-cookies/mexican-sugar-cookies.php . I usually just get a sugar cookie recipe, and half the amount of sugar, and then the result of that, i put the same amount of brown sugar, and use about 3 tablespoons of cinnamon. Then i get a tubbawear pot, put a cup of sugar, brown sugar, and a good bit of cinnamon, and roll the cookies in that mix after they come out of the oven, and have cooled for a few minutes.)

I love making soups with different spices.

My own creation of food are sandwiches stacked on top of each other with many many vegetables and chicken.
I personally think it's tasty.
