No voting the first round is generally stupid. It is a waste of a good time to gain information. Even if you don't vote to kill, vote someone so that they are forced to speak. Their actions can then be judged.

This is really all I have to say about this Day round so far.

Silver does bring up a good point... If we vote for someone, guilty or not, then somebody will at least have to speak up. This kind of action shouldn't be taken late into the game obviously, but this is a good time to do so.

So with that, I guess I'll change my vote to pennylessz too so we can start figuring things out right away.

The best players are the players you have to pay the most attention to, as they have the potential to be both your greatest ally and your worst enemy. Hopefully, a little time in the spotlight will illuminate his true motives.

Fair point. Penny was probably not the best to use for the first round. But that's what I get for using random.org to pick a random person.

I just want to get some activity in the first round. And I guess I'm getting what I asked for. Unfortuantely, No-Kill is still the majority vote, meaning that there wouldn't be a reason to defend oneself anyways. Shame.

I'll vote no kill, oh and to clear things up, you can kill me off if you want. I mean won't that make those who killed me seem more suspicious anyway? Considering there's relatively no proof. Sacrificial pawn haha. Oh, I just defended myself am I suspicious now?

Either way, just voting No-Kill right away with no discussion leading to that No-Kill vote will just lead to the Mafia getting a free kill. We gathered no valuable information Day 1, and then the Mafia gets another kill, and we have to start with more innocents dead. Besides, if we do kill someone, even if it is random, there are two possible outcomes: he is innocent or he is mafia. With the latter, kudos to us. With the former, we will have all the information we gathered during the voting process, those who defended the person we killed, those trying especially hard to get him killed, and those who washed their hands of the situation. The mafia can be in any of these groups, but information is the only weapon we as the innocents have, so simply voting No-Kill strips us of our one defense.

There's a point to be made in the fact that round one could be a good time to gather information, but all these accusations make the accusers look suspicious. The Red Snifit's post could be seen as potentially casting doubt on a non-mafia player who's too smart for his own good, or it could legitimately be an attempt at information.

That being said, voting for pennylessz without giving any substantial grounds to do so is somewhat suspicious, even if it is just to get the game moving.

One last thing: I do have one tid-bit of minor evidence. Take it how you will. It will probably get me killed off, but my death would give it more credence in the long run. Besides, I'd rather squawk like a canary before I croak like a frog, and I have no way of knowing how long I'll last.

For those who were at least somewhat paying attention to who was active and who was not, I can say with a high level of certainty that exactly 2 members of the mafia had submitted votes for the night round by the afternoon of the 26th. No more, no less.

That means at least two members of the mafia must have been active between the start of the night round and that point of time, and the rest may not have been online at all during that time-frame. We can know from this that at least two people who were active on Christmas and/or the day after are mafia, and that there's a very good chance (though not guaranteed) that at least one person who wasn't active at that time is mafia as well. (Not quite sure who gets what votes, but I'm pretty sure the mafia gets at least three votes.)

Only problem is, I don't know who was active then, and it's been almost a week. :/ I got that info in the middle of the night round and I don't think I could say anything then. I was debating earlier on whether or not to say it... But as I said before, I'd rather squawk like a canary before I croak, so I'm saying it now while it might still have a little credence.

Now that I've probably signed my own death certificate... I'm not changing my vote. I don't have names, unfortunately. Hopefully this post makes all of you use that grey stuff between your ears though.

As a side note... This might be my biggest post. (Maybe not, I have other big posts, but still... )

I'll be honest, and admit I didn't expect this to actually have any affect at all. That I actually got 3 people backing up my vote astounds me, as it was very much a half-a**ed attempt to get a conversation going by accusing a random person. I never actually planned to have them killed off, and I still don't. random.org could have given me a better person to scapegoat for conversation, but unfortunately, it did not. As it stands, there is no way we are getting any more of use from this Day, so I'm going to vote we sleep on all we've heard. So yes, I vote we end this with a No-Kill, and hope the night tells us something interesting, although, with the amount of targets laid out to choose from, I doubt that.

Doctor, Trapper, choose wisely tonight. It'd be a crying shame if we lost the Doctor on accident. Sheriff, think about what's been said.

It was an interesting day to be certain. Random accusations were tossed everywhere. pennylessz, the confused scapegoat, was a common name being uttered. Not to completely escape the public eye though were silverthundr and Someone70 who had each somehow arisen suspicion on day 1.

"We have chosen to go with a no-kill" one voice said from the crowd. The crowd was so large, not one person could be found responsible.

As the players went down to their basement to ponder what had happened, the mafia and special bystanders got ready. For as by day they struggled to learn anything... they hoped by night to get lucky with their finds.

Not to be forgotten in all this however, was legacyme3 who had the unenviable task of putting corpses on the wall.
