I'd probably pick the Wii U. The 3DS is good for its 3D effects and all, but I think the Wii U will be better in terms of gameplay.

But I would want the 3DS more than the Wii U. I just find the 3DS as something I would use a lot more often. The Wii U just doesn't look like something I would be able to get into very easily. --------------------  |

Yeah, I think I'd get the 3DS first, then the Wii U, because I have much more DS games than the Wii. (I have over 50 DS games to 3 Wii games. Beat that.  )

I would choose the Wii U, but more from necessity as opposed to choice. I cannot see 3d, so the 3DS would have no effect on me. However, I might choose the Wii U anyway, depending on how well they implement all the functionality into it. It is such an interesting concept, but I'm worried they may be trying to bite off more than they can chew. -------------------- |

I choose the Wii U because I'm not a fan of hand held consoles. I imagine the Wii U has a wider variety of better games than the 3DS. |

3DS, because I own one. And they are amazing. And it's got a huge lineup of awesome games that are going to come out for it such as a new super smash bros. (its on WiiU too, but hey, portable super smash ftw), Resident Evil Revelations, Luigi's Mansion 2...and yeah. I'm excited. -------------------- |

I would say Wii U (pending future things I find out about it) mainly because my eyes strain easily. My eyes tend to focus harder than they need to when I read things up close. I have reading glasses, but it only helps so much. I can't use the 3D effect of a 3DS for long before my eyes are tired and I get a headache  -------------------- |

Given how badly Nintendo did with Wii U at E3, I'm not all that interested. Until they announce the new Smash Bros game, I won't really care. Skyward Sword is still fairly new, so there won't be a Zelda game for a while. I want to see the next Mario game they make, but I don't know how long it will be. I'm not interested in Metroid after how Other M came out. Prime was good. Other M..... wasn't. That's pretty much it.
3DS has a lot of good remakes that I'm interested in, so that is rather tempting. Regardless, I don't have the money for a new game system, so I won't be buying one any time soon.

I think the 3DS is better because the Wii U looks like a Wii 2 but with newer games and the 3DS has the ability to play games in 3D. |
