EDIT!:
Yeah this was a weekly review page but due to life I can't try a new game every week. If I get tired of a game I will find a new one and post my reviews. Now it won't be one good and one bad. It will be what I want it to be for that particular review session.

So every week I will make two reviews of MMORPGs that I have tested.  One will be good and one will be bad.  This is my opinion and not everyone's opinion.  True most will be from only a few hours of game play but I thought it would be fun to make a thread like this~

This week I will review Remnant Knights (MMORPG) and Canaan Online (Browser).

Remnant Knights (Bad?)  Well at first I thought this was great to make friends and do some dungeon runs with those friends.  First day I made 3 friends right off the bat and I had a blast.   This lasted until I realized loads of quests you can't complete due to weird text and npc errors!!!  Then they have a really horrid match making system that well doesn't even work until you hit lvl 20.  Plus the match making doesn't even match you on anything that is well important!  They also lead you into false belief that you can have a scooter to get around on then they take it away after a day of use!  (True loads of places do that but they make you think you can keep it).  The only good thing about it is the community no bots, and I only ran into two people that didn't speak english!   Last note on this is that the game play has no redeaming qualities some of the skills are even bugged still.  It's all basic fighting too and almost no crafting except for potions.  To be honest I think there are better games out there than this I would not spend a dime on this game!

Canaan Online (Pet Forest) (Good).  Well at least the Canaan online version is good.  Even though it has an item mall most everything can be bought through free game money eventually.  Though this game is old it has a good shelf life.  The Canaan online version has a large english speaking community and has a minute amount of boting/advertising.  (nothing compared to pet forest or other games I have witnessed).  This game is focused on both crafting and pet raising in order to succeed.  Though it is slightly unballanced since Priests are the only class that can heal their pets in battle...  There are events going on all the time for all players to join in on.  Being in a guild is fun even if you are too low leveled you still can at least obtain items to help level up the guild while the higher level players fight for glory.  Most if not all guilds are willing to help the lower levels do their quests and level up.  If you are looking for a good free to play game and no download you should play Canaan Online.  Note Pet Forest is more for other speeking languages and they have loads of botting and advertisers so you really should stick with just Canaan Online.

So that's it for the first week of my review thread.  How did you all like it?

don't edit the thread for reviews, make a new post for post count+

anyways, I think this is a good idea.

I'll be sure to check back every so often

this forum may eventually get more than 1 page, so I'll sticky this so it doesn't drop down with the rest of the threads.

This is for last week.  Kinda missed my deadline.  I have two browser games to review.

Nardirim is a MMORPG for the browser on kongregate.com.  There are good reviews of this game but there are many set backs that I do not care for.  First thing first is how slow your character moves.  The character moves so slow I was able to go get a drink and come back and my character was still moving to the nearest npc!  Then you have the energy bar system where you can only do quests until the energy bar is empty then you have to wait for it to fill up again.  That also moves way too slow.  The only redeeming factor of this game is the community is really nice.  Other than that I would stay away from this game.

Darkensang Online is one of the best browser based MMORPGs.  First off it's still in development so don't let the class selection part put you off they are working on that.  Right now there is only two classes Mage and Fighter but you can choose which gender you want to be.  The graphics are amazing and the game runs smoothly even on old computers.  The monsters are creative some your used to and some are new.  The currency system is something I love.  Not only do you have the regular in game money but you have the item mall money but you don't have to pay to get it.  You can obtain item mall money through quests or monsters!!  I have no idea if this will change once beta is done but I do love that I don't have to pay for anything~!  One special thing is that you do get to see your cloths and weapons you put on.  This game has one little trick that newbies have to learn is that don't leave the map until you finish all quests!!!!  If you leave the map you will not be able to finish the quests!  Other than that I just love this game and I suggest it to everyone to play!

I have played all of them. The best is with out a doubt Cannan just because I loved the style of game that it was. Draken is awful once you get a little through it. The game becomes cash based and not fun at all. This makes me very upset.

billythekidmonster : Thanks for the heads up with Drakensang.  I thought that due to that I could get the cash shop money through monsters and quest it wouldn't require me to buy stuff with real money.

Ok so I have been slacking in my mmorpg reviews.  This is due to christmas time and baby sitting!

Two games I have had a chance to sit down with are "100 Years War" on face book and Iris Online.

Iris is tame kinda following the traditional mmorpg feel.  I don't see anything that sticks out except for using tarot cards for upgrads and buffs.  This game has no bugs but it has nothing new.  The graphics are ok they are what you expect of a regular Anime MMORPG.  There is just nothing that holds my attention.  You are not missing anything if you don't play this!

100 Years War on Facebook is amazing!  At first it looked like another "Godswar" game.  Then I use the scroll in function and it's like a download game with crafting, treasure hunting, and loads of other things that I have yet to explore.  To be honest I'm not done with the tutorial part yet~  The graphics are just shocking for a browser game!  It puts all other browser mmorpgs to shame on that scale.  I might put this game in a second review in the future if I can't find another one to review.  I'm sure I'll find more to talk about it later~

Warning might take another week or two to review games.  It is christmas coming after all~

I've played Iris Online.

It's an okay game, but I can't exactly remember what it was about.

Woo after a long holiday break I am back.  I have been busy with my writing so haven't been able to try many games out.  I did find two I can review for you.  I got a super good one and a really bad one to review for you!

First on my list is Habbo Hotel.  It's a browser game that is labeled as free to play.  Ya you get 3 free game passes each day and well you get to buy really bland stuff for your home with the tokens you get from those games.  Everything else you have to dish out your wallet!  Even player trading you have to use real money to do it!  This has to be one of the worst money hogging games out there.  I have to say do not try this game.  It's not worth any time and the graphics are even horrible.  Face Book games give you more game play than Habbo Hotel does!

Ok now I got that trash out of the house I will show you the A++ game!

I have gotten myself into a game for download called Luvinia!  Ok so the graphics are not the best, but game play and community makes up for it.  The skills you have are based on three things how much you use them, character level, and job level.  Your character stats are based on how good you take care of your equips.  Pay attention to your equips, do side quests for good cards to add to your equips and try to keep your equips upgraded at all times!  The community as I have seen it is all english speaking.  Well you never know there might be some non english speakers, but I haven't seen any of those yet.  (Yay!)  Also in the school you start out in people do go around recruiting newbies into their families (guilds).  I was able to join a great family called ShadowHearts.  If your family is lvled up enough you get great exp bonuses and other bonuses that I have not seen yet (but I know there are more than just exp).  Now there is a premium shop, but that only contains spiffy items.  All important items can be obtained through the game with in game currency or drops.  This game also runs well on low end computers.  i am able to play well with it on this piece of junk computer.  One extra note this games has lots of crafting sub classes.  Though you need to spend lots of time working on your craft class.  They don't make it easy so it's more fun with a challenge~ Also note in this game you are never at a loss of what to do.  There are constant quests there are bounty, main, side, government, family, and lots more quests.  I highly suggest trying this game out~!

Have you tried Star Wars The Old Republic's MMO yet? I want to give it a cursory look, but don't want to waste my time. I was curious if you had played it and formed an opinion about it.

legacyme3 : Is that the one sponsored by Cartoon Network? The one that looks like the 3D animation show? If so a long time ago I gave it a try on my dad's better computer. It wouldn't work on this old one.

Ok well I can't go every week to play new games I might change it to just my reviews and not weekly reviews.

I do have two good games for you all to try.

Grand Fantasia from Aeria games: Really good 3D fantasy MMORPG. All the important game elements are for free. The item shop is just spiffy upgrades of the free stuff. You can play through the whole game on free mode. You get I think 9 character slots for each server and there are 3 servers. Character classes are Sword user (swords and axes), Healer (hammers and staffs), Rouge (swords, bows, and GUNS!), Mage (staffs). With your character you get to choose a starting pet (sprite) highly suggested to get a sprite that makes armor for your class. You gain other sprites from monster drops. Sprites are emotional and work on how their emotions are and if they have enough energy. You can obtain special items from sprites in events when they come back from classes or hunting/foraging/mining. I think of Rouge and Mage as best character classes. Rouge can fight up close with swords (as assassin they get dual blades~) or far away with bow or guns~ Mage can fight up close or far away with their spells the spells are not range based so they will work no matter what! Warrior I haven't tried because I hate fighting up close lol! Healer is hard they have a long skill cool down so you can't always rely on their magic and you have to get a balanced weapon that can deal magic and attack damage. If it only focuses on one stat your dead... You do get to choose to join a guild right away at the start but it's like playing russian rullet you never know if you get a good guild or not... Everything else is simple MMORPG elements quests, mounts, armor, weapons, skills, and forging.

Next game!

Sword Girls Online: This is a card battle game which I usually don't like to play. This how ever is different in it's more like a rpg. You have to make fighter cards and magic cards and use them together. You have 10 card points per turn and you can only put out cards that are below or equal too 10 points. It's advised to combine attacking cards and magic cards and not just focus on attacking cards. Magic cards are only usually useful if you have attacking cards on the field. The cards stats are not fixed they can be trained to be better through gym and classes. In battle they even change according to what you or your enemy does to them. Cards can have special attacks along with their usual attack. Some can increase their attack, def, or life every turn and some have an attack at the end of the round if they still are alive. It's a fun game and I like to play it if I want something short to play.
