Are you a hardcore or casual gamer? I'm hardcore. When I see an epic game, I'm determined to beat it.

I consider myself an average gamer. Meaning I'm no noob but certainly not pro. Although I do love games that dishes out a good challenge.

I don't think this can be a fair answer. I don't think everyone know the difference between hardcore and casual. My friends for example call themselves hardcore but they play nothing but call of duty games.

I'm a hardcore gamer in the fashion I play games ALL THE TIME.

I'm casual though in that I rarely play online and I take things very relaxed.

I would consider myself more of a game enthusiast than "hardcore" or "casual". I simply play games to have fun and get a challenge out of it. I play a variety of games, but I don't play one game for too long nor too short and in my honest opinion that's what being a gamer is all about.

Well, personally, I think I'm a good gamer, not casual nor too hardcore. I can be hardcore, but I tend to take the avid gamer way, and just immerse into the storyline and not worry about 100% completion until later.

I'm not the type of gamer to be first in line at Game Stop to buy the latest releases.

I'd consider myself more of a casual gamer....if interested, I'd play for weeks, months and possibly years until I beat them eventually.

Well, with my catch phrase, I'm definitely the player who fails many times and sometimes with EPICNESS, so that means that I'm not so good and I'm not so bad ^^

Casual. Yeah, I'm not like "OMG LJNLNNLWWMWELKM NEW (enter game here)" when a cool game comes out.
I play games until I beat them, but I'd say I'm casual.

With me, it depends with what type of game it is. I can be a maniacal player that gets the top score or that guy who just sighs and walks away.

I'm hardcore, so hardcore that I will buy it and sell it on same day. So hardcore that I can put in cheat codes and save time. So hardcore that I can just go to youtube and watch a video and thank god I didn't spend $60 on garbage

I dont know,i never que on release for games and rarely get them within a month of release,however i never sell them(unless i hate it) and i will go for 100%
I dont play online all that much but honestly,im top in over half the matches i play.
Someone on my friends list(who i played with all the time) rose to rank 107 on the global leaderboards for mw1,i couldnt believe it.
My best score,which i think still stands,is 7 on the global rating for a resident evil 5 online map.
I think maybe hardcore.

I'm like a mixture of hardcore and casual, I'll play a game when I'm bored, but after starting it I have to finish it.

It really depends on whose definition you put it in. I could just as easily say I'm casual because I don't play FPS games or modern RPG's.

I would like to think of myself as a mix of both. A hardcore gamer, in my definition, is one that plays games that are challenging and rewarding. A person that plays Wii Sports all the time wouldn't necessarily be hardcore... Unless they were trying to get a perfect 2000 skill level on all their games or something. x3

I'm sort of in the middle. I am a serious gamer and I can get pretty into the games I play. But I'm not at the obsessive level like MMO gamers. My major is Game Programming, so I kinda have to be some level of serious gamer.

Most people don't even know the definition of "Hardcore Gaming" anyhow.

IMO, hardcore gaming is getting deep into the game and purposefully make it challenging for yourself (ie: Ocarina of time glitch speedruns, 3 heart challenges, Pokémon Nuzlocke etc.). It makes it so you have to play harder than you would normally have to compared to casual play. Playing FPS games 24/7 doing the same thing =/= hardcore, IMHO. If you want to make it at least a bit more hardcore, play it using different, weaker strategies for the hell of it and see how far you can go. If you can do a lot better, then cool, you tried something that's virtually weaker and it worked. But yea, enough of that.

Besides that, I'm more of a mix. I play casually most the time, like Pokémon and most Nintendo franchises. I usually go hardcore in Ocarina of Time, attempting speedruns (recently started practicing for MST runs; MUCH MUCH harder than one thinks it is) and 3 heart challenges (though easy if you know enemies and bosses extremely well; required for speedruns).

That's just me though, my opinions aren't always right, but that's the way I feel about this.
