I do a lot especially when I'm at the last level on a game with only one life left.

I lose one life, that's not a big deal, but when I lose many times in a row, it's frustrating ^^

I got agitated on ps home when i lost all my lifes on just one level,grr

I usually stop playing a game completely and move on to another when I have a "Game Over", So I play several games in a session.

gameface138 : Heh, I am too persistent for this. Its almost too difficult to put a game down once I've lost. It's like its an affront to me that I absolutely have to correct. >.<. Kudos to you for not putting up  with it though.

Eh, I die almost everyday. Lucky for me, before I was born, I activated a real unlimited lives universe glitch, so it isn't a big deal. Seriously, after about the 20th time I died since I was born, my attitude about it is just "eh, whatever. Be back tomorrow" It does kind of bite when it is a particularly painful death....




EDIT- But now to make a serious response to the threads question, it is generally know. Especially with modern games because they have slowly been moving away from lives and continues. Now, so many of them are unlimited lives with either really challenging levels where you are bound to die often, or games that you must save your progress. I do, however, get frustrated when I play for like 2 hours without saving on a game like Red Dead Redemption, and then die. When that happens, I turn the game off for a while because I do not feel like repeating progress that JUST took me two hours to do. Forget that.

I'm awful at most 2D platformers from the last century. I've always sucked at Super Mario Bros. I simply am terrible at these kinds of games. That said, I don't really get irritated over losing a life very often. Of course, this depends on the mood my mind wants to torment me with or not torment me with. Let's just say I have given the TV some really... Disturbing insults.

That would depend. If the life lost was legitimately my fault, and it brought me one step closer to gaining the skills necessary to beat that spot the next time around, then no, I don't get frustrated. That's how the game is supposed to work: if you don't succeed, it should gently nudge you in the right direction with each mistake so that you learn how best to overcome that obstacle.

No I do not usually just because I am too good for that a lot of the time. Though really it does not upset me like it really gets some people. I think that it is a part of the game.

I actually do funny things when I lose a life or die. For example, if my character falls off a cliff, I'll pretend I'm falling too and scream Aaaaahhhh for a long time, it makes other people laugh when I do that. Or if I die, I'll pretend to pass out like I did for real too. LOL.

It all depends on the situation. If it is a platformer where you have a limited number of live, losing multiple lives in the exact same place can really frustrate me. If losing a life does not alter the outcome in any major way, I can pretty much shrug it off. If we are playing Super Smash Brothers, I only get aggravated when I lose a life because all three opponents online decided to team up against me alone. Besides that, I can act a little goofy about it.

Not too often, with the only real cases being deaths due to glitches and it punishes me for it or when I dies in a poorly designed game and is forced to do a really boring thing for several hours before reaching the fun/hard part.

I can get frustrated... but I most often do not.

The thing with a video game is that if I get frustrated, it's mostly because I'm distracted by something else. Rather than take it out and scream I'll get rid of the distraction and more often than not conquer the challenge and frustration.

The purpose of dieing in a video game is to not get mad, but to see how many enemies you can take down with you

I like loading up a chopper and flying my team into a tree or building

I've managed my anger well for the past few years when it comes to game raging.

It does upset me but I've learned not to let it piss me off and scape goat on the innocent. There's always another chance.... although it's frustrating losing a life. Especially losing a life fighting a boss or on an important level.
