So I came to vizzed a while back, about a month ago and here I am. I just started checking out the homepage more and came across this section and saw the word "relationships" in bold letters and the first thing that came to my mind was "oh, really now?"

I'm gonna be 24 in December and I've NEVER seen a gaming site where relationships were part of it (not that I'm sure they are) but even if they aren't, Vizzed is still awesome.

Ladies, Gentleman, sub-par species, lend me your ears.

Well it is kinda obvious if you checked out some of the threads, but as long as you get it now. And who knows, a relationship might spark anyway. I've seen it happen on boards before... not sure about this one because of the huge gap in age ranges... but still possible.

I've seen relations come out of sites before, it isn't uncommon. But it's usually a product of people getting to know each other by coincidence on the site, rather than making threads that attract others to you.

I myself am a shy person who can't even talk to a woman unless we met online prior to the meeting.

For me, it's just a way to overcome an obstacle. For some it's a way to escape the criticism that comes with being unable to talk to a girl.

I don't see it as a status thing so much as a booster step.

Like if you wanted sugar from the cabinet, but were too small to get it. You need the bosst to get you what you want. It may look silly, but we are thankful for the booster.

That said... I've /had/ several online relationships before and over the long term they never work out. As you get more intimate the desire to be together gets stronger. The greater the distance and obstacles between you two, the more likely it is that it will fail.

Sorry, Lumian but I must disagree. I've had many online relationships in the past only a small handful of them have failed due to bad fall outs. However it is not in my best interest to start another one so thank you for the advice
