Well the reason the chat room link doesn't appear for guests is because I want it so only people who have passed the newbie quiz can click the link.  The link appears to be available to those who haven't passed the quiz but once they click it, they get redirected to the newbie quiz.  The reason I did this was because of all the spamming and flaming that went on in the chat room months ago and doing this greatly reduced that.

The way chat is now, you can sign in via Facebook and that does little to change the whole "You must pass the newbie quiz" thing.

As it stands, the moderators are in chat often and can get rid of anyone who is spamming.

The fact you can enter as ANYONE in the guest room sucks. I tested this theory by entering as BTowns and other well-known members, and I didn't like that. I think that needs to be changed, at least.

The biggest issue with spam is generally from the guest rooms.

Aside from those rooms, chat, when I've been in it has been spam free, save for a few idiots, who I've muted/kicked when they've gone overboard with it. Few do it again after I mute/kick them.
