Davideo7 : Would it be too much trouble to put the FlashChat link on the main Guest Page? I hate having to sign into Vizzed just to access the Chat Room, since it's the only way to do it without copying the URL on a document. I'm only asking for purposes of ease. Thoughts?

Well the reason the chat room link doesn't appear for guests is because I want it so only people who have passed the newbie quiz can click the link.  The link appears to be available to those who haven't passed the quiz but once they click it, they get redirected to the newbie quiz.  The reason I did this was because of all the spamming and flaming that went on in the chat room months ago and doing this greatly reduced that.

I can put the link back for everyone if you guys really think it should be available to everyone but if the spam greatly increases, I'll have to switch back again.

The way chat is now, you can sign in via Facebook and that does little to change the whole "You must pass the newbie quiz" thing.

As it stands, the moderators are in chat often and can get rid of anyone who is spamming.

The fact you can enter as ANYONE in the guest room sucks. I tested this theory by entering as BTowns and other well-known members, and I didn't like that. I think that needs to be changed, at least.

Snowdeath : The reason the guest chat room is there is for if someone is having troubles registering, for example.  Or if the main DB server ever goes down, than no one would be able to log in as themself than they'd have to use that chat room (which has happened in the past if anyone remembers).

The biggest issue with spam is generally from the guest rooms.

Aside from those rooms, chat, when I've been in it has been spam free, save for a few idiots, who I've muted/kicked when they've gone overboard with it. Few do it again after I mute/kick them.
