I just found this out today and I thought that this was the most saddest thing that you will see in life.  I feel sorry for this family to experience this.

It is about a kid that has been bullied all his life and just committed suicide.  More information about this, look at the link above.  I would just kill the people that did this to him.

While this is sad, teen suicides are no where near being rare and they happen a lot. I think that people should be stronger and stand up for themselves instead of letting people be above them.

Well this is not really the saddest thing I have heard it is pretty sad but not the saddest. Though it is the worst thing I have seen all day. I guess I am pretty de-sensitized towards this kind of stuff.

Wanna know what's sadder than suicide?

Losing your son because he got run over, blaming yourself for it, getting your other son kidnapped, lose your wife, and have to basically put yourself in danger to save your son.

It's sad, but I can think of sadder things than suicide =/

thee_casualty: I was thinking along different lines. I was going to say that this kid will not be remembered by anyone really. He did not change history he just followed it. Really he did not need to die because some kids made fun of him. Though I could see why he did it.

Anyway to add more to the topic, I've stopped people like this from committing suicide. Generally the people that do kill themselves do it thanks to the lack of a support group. Most people have one, and generally can be talked down.

It just goes to show that bullying is a huge problem nowadays. It's a shame that people thinking they can make fun of others and not understand the consequences.

It's probably a bad thing that teen suicides have become so common today. Shouldn't it be that a story like this is a lot more rare than it is today?

The suicide itself is very sad, but the saddest thing is the apathy towards it. A teen or any person taking their life because they were bullied, and people just going "meh, it's common now" makes me want to both cry and punch a wall at the same time.

Elara : That's not exactly what I said. Let me elaborate a little more.

I've been bullied a lot in my life. Not so much anymore, but a couple of years ago I was a giant target. I was pretty sad, but I never let them take over me. The people that commit suicide aren't forced to do it, it's a moral choice that they made. Instead of changing schools, or finding something out with the counselors, they decided to kill themselves in an attempt to attract attention to the fact that people are bullying. The fact that people are feeling pity for someone committing suicide is causing the bullies to actually win.

If you want bullying to stop, SPEAK OUT. Don't hurt others or yourself. Doing so is just a huge waste of time.

Honestly leggy has got a point there are worse things then suicide, it's there choice and there life if they wanna end it insted of standing up for them selves and telling someone about it then it was fate.It is sad and i feel bad for the family but as said before there are worse things.

Unfortunately, suicides from bullying is very common.....especially because of homosexuality. I truly pity the unfortunate kids that deal and have dealt with bullying...it sickens and saddens me! It's so sad because young kids don't realize, the bullying is only temporary...I guess it was so bad for this kid he felt as though there was no other way. God Bless his soul.

I was always bullied for being homosexual...in school and in public. I'm so thankful to have a loving and caring family/friends that have supported me since coming out....not everyone, as you can see is that fortunate.

I just wish people weren't so ignorant, then none of these problems would exist...kids afraid of going to school because they're fearful of being tortured for whatever reason. This makes me livid!

It is interesting to see this at such a time. I am actually trying to write a paper on pop culture, and the main item I am writing about is Lady Gaga's music video Born This Way.

I think I should mention how bullying can happen to anyone for any reason. I know I mentioned this before, but I will say it again. I was bullied. Only once was it for how I acted. The majority of the bullying was for a food allergy I once had. But that is not the only unusual thing about my situation. This would happen at church. Yes, of all places for it to happen, it happened where you least expect it. Bullying is a bigger problem than what we know. If you are reading this an now thinking about Christians and their hypocrisy, please take it to a different thread where it belongs.

I am not saying that this is the saddest of the saddest like 9/11 or something, but I am saying that this is very tragic to see for a teen to happen.

Luckily, I do not get bullied.  I may have been bullied by someone outside of school (my friend's friend), which was like about 5 years ago and he would bully me whenever he would come over to my friend's house.  It happened for about less than a year, but I managed to be able to be okay.  He wasn't bullying me because I was gay (which I am not), he just decided to bully me for a reason (I don't know what).  I am glad to see that it is over.  However, people who bully others seem to have no caring about how others feel.  If I had a friend that was gay, I would be fine
about that, unless if he started touching me, then I wouldn't be.

Why's everyone making it like a competition? This young man committed suicide because he felt that there was no other option for him. Yes, it happens, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't have empathy or anything just because it's happened before. RIP.
