Sometimes my cats and dogs do. It just depends on what they hear. Really loud noises outside mainly scare my cats. And sometimes like using the vacuum cleaner scares them too. My dogs don't get scares as much, mostly just protective.

I made the watermelon roll on the floor and my dog ran away. Kenji went back and barked at it. He's also scared of my drums lol, and the musical parades during festivals, and when I crawl and reach his feet when it's dark inside the room.

My younger dog has no fear. My older one isn't necessarily scared easily, he is just scared of weird things. He is afraid of laundry baskets, trash bags, and the squirt bottle (though that is because that is what we use as punishment). But the weirdest thing he has become afraid of is eating in the kitchen. I had to move his bowl to the living room by the doorway to the kitchen for him to eat because he won't do it if it is in the kitchen. He starts shaking and tucks his tail. What is weird though is that his water bowl is in the kitchen, and he has no problem drinking there. I don't get it.

It all depends on the situation. If I am running through the house then my cats may try to run from me, but if I am walking they will not move a muscle not even when I step right over them. I say they trust me a a bit too much.

Now we're trying to break her from that if treated and trained right.

When my dog Red was still a puppy, my mom let him outside to use the bathroom. Well a deer wandered into the yard.  Red took one look at the deer, started whining and crying like a baby, peed on himself and ran back into the house.

Then the next day, he was let outside again. This time, a flock of geese flew overhead. He looked at them and had the same reaction as he did to the deer.

Yeah. He's a golden retriever, vizsla mix, but the golden retriever is more predominate in him so he's pretty huge. That makes it all the more hilarious that he is still afraid of deer. >,<
