I can see pretty well for the most part. The hardest for me is if there is a light that is very far away. Then I get my night sight all messed up and it is very hard for me then.

I have pretty good night-vision. Not great, but I can walk through my apartment at night without running into anything.

I can see very well in the dark, but mainly because I had a lot of practice. When I was in high school, friends would go out of town all the time either in flat open land or corn fields. No city lights, so it was near pitch black. We would be dressed all in black and do hide and seek, paintball, and that kind of stuff. If you can't see well in the dark, you didn't do well. I also have the rooms in my house more dark because I'm more comfortable.

My vision in the dark is horrible. I can't even see my hand in front of my face, even if there's a night light on somewhere in the home. The only reason I don't run into things is because I memorized everything thats around me, so I can easily get around without problems.

Another reason why. I used to attempt walking around the house blindfolded for that main reason.

Between my time spent exploring caves when I was young and all of the time I've worn darkened safety glasses (long story, but a lot of people can't see much of anything when they put them on), my night vision is excellent.  I can even speed up the adjustment to the darkness after figuring out where to push on the eyes to shut off your vision (I don't suggest doing it, I have no idea about the long-term effects, but it's good to know in an emergency), then letting go to see everything.  I'm kind of curious how everyone else sees things, though.  Everything has a purple tint when my eyes adjust.

However, my main issue is that when I focus too much in the dark, things tend to move or morph into something I don't recognize, which results in moderate mindrape and sometimes freaks me out. I also avoid looking into mirrors.
