Well here there is a lot of Retro Game Room's, I kid you not. I laughed once I saw this site and it had one but not in the same context, anyway, yes there is.

There is also another Retro Game Room some where else but I can not remember where.

Yep, there numerous game stores in my local area and they all sell retro systems .

Retro consoles, games and accessories are making a huge come back over here in Illinois. Everyone I know has either dusted off there own, or had to find one at a pawn shop, or flea market. Now there buying up all the games around. I actually sold my SNES, and Nintendo with about 50 games to a friend of mine. So yea man I think they are.

Recently a new game store opened up with all the retro games, they even have some old atari 2600's, but they are really expensive.

No a lot of people have Xbox and PS3's and they think retro consoles are terrible. =|

They're somewhat common. I've heard of people having NES's, N64's, Genesis's, etc. I don't know how much they really play them, though.

Yeah, pretty common considering most people around here are older people. I find the older a person is the more likely the console they own is retro.

PS3 and 360 are a generational thing.

Here in New York, retro consoles aren't common at all. It's difficult and unlikely to find a retro console in stores for sale.

The best way to buy these consoles is online...like Ebay or Amazon (I think) .com.

yep there is a store in my are called play and trade they sell EVERYTHING
like Dream Cast,NES,ataris and the games and controlers to play them with...
even the new systems

I found retro games and consoles in the flea market near my house, I bought my NES from that flea market.

It's pretty common where i live there's this game store by the neighborhood near my place that have loads of old console all of them actually and even there games

In Gig Harbor Washington, everything as to be new and shiny, and super expensive. I'd say I am one of the maybe 30 at most people in Gig Harbor who owns a system made before 2005. Seriously, I hate it here.

Here retro games aren't very common, unfortunately. Seems like almost everyone I know around here traded off their retro game consoles long ago... There is one locally-owned store that carries a lot of retro games/consoles, but some of them are overpriced, every retro game they have (Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis, Game Boy, etc.) is atleast $5.00, which a lot of them aren't really worth (same games you used to be able to get at places like GameStop for $0.99) and they have done their research, but they overestimate the value of some classic games by a lot.

I wish GameStop still carried retro games, one actually just moved into my area.. Since none of my friends have their games left I'm stuck either going to that game store occasionally to try to find a deal, or shopping on eBay (which it seems like a lot of other people do now too, because if you aren't careful you could end up really overpaying for retro games on eBay)

I know you can play the games here in the RGR, and I do, but I really like owning a lot of my favorite classic games too
