Do you think they should make an Earthbound game on the Wii?  They made Kid Icarus Uprising, why not Earthbound? That would be so cool, the graphics would be insane for the Wii.

A new earthbound game is really overdue by so long, and I would love to see a new game for the wii based off of Earthbound. That would be awesome.

Nintendo obviously has no more interest in the Mother series otherwise they would have localized Mother 3. So, even though an Earthbound Wii port would be cool, don't expect one. :/

Absolutely, Ness is in Super Smash Brothers throughout the series.  Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Kirby, the Pokémons, Samus, and Fox are being made and still being made on this year.  I really don't care about Captain Falcon, but Ness has not had any games in any consoles after the SNES.  They need to make an Earthbound game soon.

But before I end this post, people are complaning it's been too long since Mother 3. It was released in 2006. That was 5 years ago. You should complain about Star Fox. No game in SEVEN years.

totaldramaman2 : Star Fox 3D is coming out soon on the 3DS if you didn't know.  There hasn't been any Earthbound game on the N64 (made, but canceled), Nintendo DS, Wii, PS3, XBOX, and XBOX 360.  I do not know why they never made a Mother 4 soon.  I did find out this site about a game called "Earthbound 3DS."  I do not know if this is officially being made, but here it is to see.

I think this is full of crap because Ness and/or Lucas are not in this game at all.  The main character is called Mason, which sounds like a stupid name.  What I think about this is that they ruined Mother 4.

Marcmoney : No Mother/EarthBound game has been confirmed for 3DS, other than an "offical" sheet of paper somemone dropped at E3 2011. It's probably a joke though. Starfox 64 3D is a remake, I wasn't counting remakes.

I think that it would be really good. But I do not think that it would transfer over to polygonal graphics very well. I would like to see where they would go with it.

Marcmoney : Have you ever even played Mother 2 or 3? Lucas and Ness are not supposed to be in the same game. In fact, they're in completely different worlds in each game. That Earthbound 3DS is obviously fan-made. It even says it in the first sentence of the article. And finding it on FANtendo doesn't help either. I think Mason is a fine name. It's not necessarily a name that defines a character or a game, after all.

However, I didn't know a Mother 4 fangame was already made for the 3DS. The one I'm looking forward to is made by these guys: http://mother4.andonuts.net/ which looks very promising.

And on topic, I think making an Earthbound for Wii would be a very wise choice for Nintendo. Even if it wasn't a remake, just the original ROM would make many fans and newcomers happy. Sadly, it's a wish that'll never happen.

Someone70 :  Interesting.  What I don't like about this Mother 4 fan-made game is the characters.  It does not have Ness nor Lucas.  They are the  two famous characters in Earthbound/Mother history.  I do not get why they would make a game without one of them in it.  They put them in brawl for a reason, because they were popular in their games.  Nintendo is starting to be different because they made a 3DS, which is good, but what they are doing to the games are mostly remakes.  I suggest making a new Earthbound game because it has been very popular and I think they do not see that.  I am glad that they are still making Wii games since the 3DS came out.  I want a new Earthbound game soon.

Well, the Earthbound 3DS game is named so probably because it follows after Earthbound, but it's supposed to be a Mother 4 game. If you haven't noticed, each of the Mother games contains a different main character. Adding Lucas or Ness would be either a remake or contradictory. Earthbound 3DS is supposed to be a whole new game, not a remake.

Someone70 : I'm not saying to make it a remake, I just want a game that is completely different and new, but needs to have Lucas or Ness in it.  For example, in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance, all the characters are in both of the games, but they are two complete different stories.  That's what I like a lot.

Marcmoney : Lucas had a name that is not a Nintendo reference, it's probably not stupid sounding but it's not a word play like Ninten's and Ness' (unless you count Claus). I honestly would have named Lucas 'Gabe' as a wordplay to "GBA". Gabe Newell jokes would expend to a new level though :/ if that was offical.

I think I would rather have Earthbound 2.5 or an Earthbound 0.5 taking place near the timeline of the game, probably in a same location (or a different one but there has to be something that links them up perfectly, maybe we can see some of the same characters or something... good for Fanfictons) instead of a Mother 4. You just bound with the other characters so much that if there is a TV series/fan-fiction of them doing normal childhood stuff after their adventures I would still watch it/read it, mainly for the love you gained for Ness and his party.

I got to love how the 3 parties in the 3 games never made eye-contact with each other, it's amazing how Lucas probably never heard of Ness despite *SPOILERS* Porky's huge obsession over his past *End of Spoilers* or how Ness never even thought Ninten could exist, dressed up in such a similar fashion. I always thought Ninten looked more Asian then Ness though .

I think they should the game is great on the Super Nintendo and I think it would be better on the Wii.

Of course they should, however, Nintendo LOVES to P.O. It's fans. If Nintendo did take some cue from it's fans (or reviewers, or sales numbers, for that matter) they would have released it a long time ago.
