~sakura~ Day is today which means, it's time to start posting as much as we can!  The minimum goal is 1000 posts but it'd be great if we could break 2000.

E Mail campaign? I am serious I think you should e mail all of the members of the forum and hope they participate. Not to mention that Sakura could see it....... if she is with us........

BNuge : You're on. I'm not at 100% as far as posting desire goes, but I should be able to put up a respectable post count. I'll try to hit at least 100 today, but my real goal is 300 if I can get that many posts.

As someone relatively new to this site, I am reluctant to post - and as I game to avoid interaction instead of gaming for interaction, I had no intentions of ever posting here. Today, however, is an exception.
I've never spoken to nor heard of ~sakura~ until the recent news of ~sakura~ Day. As someone who's come to terms with her own mortality, I generally have little to offer as far as words about others mortality. As someone who, while enlisted, watched her brothers and sisters in arms pass on, I say little when it comes to this topic. Life happens, death happens, the cycle continues and world as we know it keeps moving. I've seen so many go, while their spouses and newborn children (who they never were able to hold) wait at home - but that was part of the job, for as cold as that may sound. Those situations had effects on me - but this is something different. This touches my heart in a different way, in a much more personal way, which is why (although this might just be seen as random words on a thread) this is this only post I will probably add to.
13 years old. This is so tragic that it's hard to even fathom the words said in her last post. Even at 18, 21yrs old, I didn't have that maturity. To be so young and yet so strong, so brave, is something I could never imagine being forced onto anyone. She is a hero, at least in my eyes.
She ended her post mentioning that this became a second home to her. As someone who uses this site as an escape, that one sentence from her validated exactly why sites like this are important. We all come here to play games, perhaps interact or just troll - but reading her post and seeing what this meant to her is even more reason why we should do what we can, through referrals and donations (even meager) to keep it going... because who knows, out of all of the members, who could be dealing with the same issues silently.
I apologize for being long-winded. ~sakura~ Day just really touched something inside me.

I got up earlier just to come here and post to honor her. As I've already said, today I have some personal-family issues as well, but I'll do my best to stay on vizzed as much as I can
