I never owned a Gamecube, but I played on my cousins on rare occasions (she lived 6 hours away). I started playing more Gamecube games when I got my Wii. Haven't played much of a variety because the only ones I can find in stores now are the ones that weren't as good because nobody sells the good ones.... I've never had a Gamecube, myself, but one of my friends did and I always had fun playing Luigi's Mansion. I'm a sucker for pretty much any game with Mario or Luigi, though. =P

The Nintendo GameCube had a handful of truly great games, but I have to say that Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is my favorite of the bunch.

It took everything that I loved about the original Paper Mario and expanded it beyond my already high expectations. The battles were more spectacular, the badges had their potential multiplied, and the story was deeper and more involved. On top of all that, it also somehow managed to retain the charm of the original, albeit with a different flavor, resulting in what I consider to be a masterpiece of a game.

As somebody who can rarely see the appeal in RPGs, I think it's quite remarkable when a game of that genre manages to work its way into my heart as deeply as this one has.
