When I ask this question, I do assume the idea that there are things that God does not control –this question is not meant to draw into that specific topic. At the same time, I do not believe in superstition as that is the belief in a higher power, other than God, that can have control over a situation. So can there ever be a time, based only on our own choices and nothing else, that luck exists? Please let me know if I need to clarify my question.

I don't think I believe in luck in any circumstance or form. The reason for this is that luck is based on chance and accident. If we live in a universe where events are under complete control and nothing happens without being caused or permitted by someone omnipotent and omniscient as God, than I don't think there is any room for chance but rather fate.

I don't believe in luck at all, and I think it is just attributed to events that have an unlikely percentage to turn out good. Say you didn't know the answer on a school test, so you just guess. You end up getting the answer right and then you think are lucky. The reality is that the "lucky" outcome was less probable than you getting  the answer wrong, so it is therefor attributed to luck.

I also find it funny when people say some one is lucky when they have been put through horrible circumstances. Here is an example, "oh wow he survived the car accident? He is so lucky!" This kind of thing happens all the times, and if anything, that person was unlucky to be in that situation in the first place!

The sixth time you go through that, you figure you're going to survive. But you end up dying. You're in hell. Or let's say you drink and drive. You do it 3 times and never get caught. The 4th time you do it, you go to jail. Luck can manipulate people's minds.
