One of my friends uses opera as her browser, so I've tried it many times on her laptop. It's good and fast enough, but I'm ok with firefox and IE, I don't want to download more browsers and things on my laptop.
But yeah it's a good one, at least from what I saw till now, so I would recommend it

Opera is good to use if you need something really fast and without many features. There isn't a lot of support for Opera, like no Adblocker, but things go lightning fast on it. One thing you can use it for is mass clicking on gpxplus (not sure if Pokefarm has the same arrangement but I suppose you can use it for that too).

For me I do not need another browser I have chrome and that is all I need. I do not like Opera very much at all, for me it is really slow.

As far as security is concerned. Opera is pretty top class in it's own department. But it's also useable to view code on every single website if you want to lift the curtains and see how websites are made. Which is nice to have if you are into that kinda thing.

However, Opera uses just as much resources; if not just as much as Firefox does. Which isn't really a complaint because most browsers that are on the market today utilizes multicore processing.

Opera, at best, is a wonderful browser. But it's a little more leaned towords devs who want to spend time coding. To get the best out of it, you really need to dig deep for plugins though, which also rivals that of Firefox and Chrome too.
