I usually turn it off now, cause I'm trying to kick the old habit. I only leave it running because I like to drink/put a little in my mouth to slosh, and help the tooth paste foam up/ splash around more while in my mouth, apply the concept of mouth wash, but less liquidy, while brushing your teeth with it though
