I am NOT afraid to be alone in the woods at night. I've moved alot so throughout my life I've lived in country areas off and on. I used to get really bad panic attacks and the only thing that would help me was to get away from everyone so I'd go deep in the forest miles away from everyone and peacefully sleep right on the ground in the middle of nowhere. I'm actually very comfortable in the woods at night and if I hear noises and stuff around me I know it's just an animal or something. Ain't no monsters or dark spirits brave enuff to mess with me. In reality, I'm the scariest thing there.

Not really, my fiance and I went wandering all over the woods on his mom's property without a single worry... got the crap scared out of us by a wild turkey. I think that at night I would be more cautious, since it is dark and all... that and bears are really common here.

I have been in the woods at night looking for my dog that somehow got out of the fence. Heard him barking and coyotes out there barking back. I was waiting to find my dog dead. Luckily I found him and brought him back home after I made several circles around the place trying to get back home.

I am afraid of the dark to an extent, but I'm not sure if being in the woods would night would bother me all that much. I find woods very peaceful, and there are certainly not any animal species in my area that would attack me just for walking through the woods. As long as I had a flashlight I think I would be fine.

Well the wooded area where I live, yes I am afraid to go in there and for good reason!

No, I'm not afraid. When it comes to something like I can use my imagination to visualize one of two things: a situation from a horror movie, or an adventure. With the adventure in mind while walking through the woods in darkness it's like I'm on a quest for....something. It's really that atmosphere I produce for myself. And with it, no horror situation exists. If something scary does come up then it's a "random encounter", a la Final Fantasy, where I either escape or face it. I actually find it nice to walk through a forest during the winter with snow covering the ground at night with a clear sky and bright moon. It's almost serene.

To be honest i would say yes.... i live in the woods and hear the sounds every night... hearing the deer back there and the smaller but more aggresive animals that trample around back there...so i wouldnt say im scared of the woods at night, its more afraid of what's in the woods.

I, for one, would be frightened to go out in the woods all by myself. I'm always scared by whatever could jump out at me at any time. Maybe I just watch too many scary stories, but there isn't much I could do by myself anyways.

well i used to be in army cadets and scouts and we used to do this thing called wide games where we waited till it was pitch black and basically play war games at night in the woods like return the flag or get to the base with the killers jumping out at you tryign to get you after a while people jumping out of nowhere grappling you in the woods in the middle of the night gets less scary, even though you go in groups of 10 the woods are massive and getting lost is very easy and you can feel sooo alone. But yeah even when i have been alone in the woods im not that scared why would anyone want to hurt me and if theres animals that can attack (depending where i am) then climb a tree

unless youve infact stumbled across a monkey enclosure in which case your goin' down no question unlucky ...

Scared of the woods at night? Heck no. Each summer when I go to wild camps, I always loved going in the woods alone, even when with a friend or a band of friends for fun, and most times we would brave the darkness, but most would chicken out and turn on their flashlights. I didn't. 
I just love how the moonlight seeps through the thick thistles and leaves of the trees, and on a truly dark night, that is where the challenge of not tripping over a rock/root comes. =P

Nevertheless, for me, the bottom line is; No, I am not afraid of the woods at night. I love it.

The only issue i have is those dang spider webs you walk into.
