   I would definitely choose a 3ds XL. It has way more games that I would be interested in playing, and it doesn't have expensive memory cards like the Vita. Plus, at this point, Nintendo is actually still supporting the system, where Sony seemed to have moved on from it because of how poorly it sold for so long after first being released, so the 3ds is more likely to have bigger games.
