I'd say it's fine collecting bottles if that's what you're really into. Every bottle has a unique history behind them depending on the company that made them. Since they hardly make glass bottles nowadays, it's quite a neat thing to see where they came from.

I only have the santa coke aluminum bottles or cans .when the saints one the super bowl they had budwiser cans with there sign on them my mom bought like a 24 pack and just poured out the beer (which is a terrible waste) and kept those Ive never heard of jones soda though

its definatley not the trend or common but its not abnormal either. Ive never heard of bottle collecting but the sheer amount of bottles in the world to collect is tremendous. Tell your gran good luck :p So many bottles so little time

If the person is collecting them to earn some extra money by recycling, that person should at least tell me before he/she starts rummaging through my trash cans. If the act of collecting appears to be obsessive compulsive, then there's a problem.
