I do not believe that I have had to suffer this tragic event. So far, I do believe that I have received nothing but good news during the Christmas holiday / holiday season period. Which I am insanely grateful for.

Something I forgot to include the last time I posted (honestly I probably just remembered because it's getting closer to the holidays) is that I remember years back my mom read in the news paper a couple days after Christmas that a dad and his 7 year old daughter had gone out Christmas morning to grab a last minute surprise Christmas present for her mother, and a semi hit a patch of ice on the highway they were both on and hit them, killing them both.

I've never been able to forget it and it makes me even more appreciative for my family and friends.

One year, our dog passed away on Christmas Eve.  We were all so heartbroken.  I miss that dog a lot.  He was such a good collie, (you could always play Frisbee with him...) We buried his ashes this summer...

Seven years ago my grandmother passed away in the first part of January. So...yeah, Christmas isn't a really good time for us, but we try not to let it stop us from enjoying the holidays, because our family members wouldn't want us to.

On Christmas morning this (edit- last) year I awoke to news that my grandfather had been taken to the hospital due to a stroke. It must have been a considerably hard time for my aunt as she had just returned from the hospital the night before and had to drive my grandpa their on Christmas day. Her husband had emergency brain surgery in the days leading up to Christmas. Her birthday happens to be the 25th of December so she not only had a horrible X-mas but also a horrible birthday. Fortunately both are doing well. The doctors are surprised at how well my uncle is doing and my grandfather is feeling better, he will most likely have to live in a nursing home from now on but things could be worse.

There is never a good time for bad news but I would like to think that being surrounded by family and loved ones makes things a bit easier to handle.

Well, I had a bad thing happen to my grandma at Christmas day, she had lost her job at Sears and things were really bad and I think it was the same year as hurricane Katrina, but yeah she lost her job, and she had to seek employment and it was really hard for her, and she did eventually get employed again, but it wasn't for a few weeks and it took a while. But other than this all my Christmas times have been amazing, I have been with my family and that is a blessing in its own right. I wish it would snow on Christmas day but still nothing else bad has happened to me or my family on Christmas. I am sorry to hear all of the bad things that have happened to you guys on Christmas.

I have, I lost my mother on Christmas day when I was still a little kid. I have never liked it since, everything about it annoys me actually from decorations to cheerfulness lol I normally just lock myself away in my house until its over, so I don't have to hear and look at it.
