I had one that I thought had died as a child so I went to give it its proper burial by flushing down the toilet as you do, anyway the shock of hitting that cold water in the pan bought it back to life and it lived for many more years, believe me the way it had been before I went to flush it you would have thought the poor thing had definately passed, perhaps that is why people do flush them to give them one last chance, certainly burial would not do anything to increase its chances of revival.

Lol they all need to pass on eventually. I had a similar thing happen. Apparently, the water got bad or something got caught in its gills and my Dad replaced the water or something and revived it. Another time my Dad hit the table by mistake and the fish went flying and I got it in my hand and rushed to a glass and filled it with water. I miss those guys 8(.
