Where I live it really depends, some years it snows 4-5 times while other years it doesn't snow at all. This past winter, I believe it only snowed twice and on both those occasions it was a really wet snow and was gone within a day.

At least once every couple of years. It was REALLY bad back in 2005. I was snowed in at my grandfather's house and had to spend an extra three days there because my parents couldn't come get me. =| I don't remember it snowing much last winter though. A few sprinkles, but not much. Portland never usually gets more than a couple of inches.

In Nebraska, in the winter time, you are pretty much guaranteed at least a foot of snow before spring thaws you out. Of course, we've had some blizzards in recent years that have brought feet upon feet of snow.

Well I live in the Chicago area, so it snows quite often during the winter time. Hell, last Groundhogs day it snowed like 24 inches in 12 hours. lol

This winter though we have gotten lucky, and it was pretty warm up until last Friday, and we have hardly gotten any snow this winter....let's hope that trend continues until spring
