I was more of the lesson birth I guess you can say. Before my mother gotten pregnant with me. My father was always abusive toward her. Constantly beating on her choking her, ect. So my mom thought if she would get pregnant by him. He would open his eyes and stop doing what he did and be responsible. Well, that didn't work. He would still act the way he did even during the pregnancy. I wasn't supposed to be on the face of the Earth. So I'm lucky to be here. However, my mother does loves me dearly and was happy I came into this world. Though when my mom left him all those years back. He realized the precious treasure he lost and calmed down quite a bit and even more when my grandfather passed on. My dad drastically changed and now he's such a great father my mom was looking for. He's remarried and have's step daughters in his life. He's personality is still the same. A hard ass, but he's a loving guy now.

I'm technically not adopted, but my biological dad ditched me right after I was born, so I really don't know him. My stepdad has wanted to legally adopt me for years, but it hasn't happened yet. Though since I'm an adult now I don't think he can.

My grandmother was adopted though and it's actually a big family secret. I didn't know until I was 17 or so. It was a bit of a shock, but it actually made something make a lot more sense.
