I don't believe that anything could be cursed, but hey, thats just me.

I believe that certain things can be cursed but not video games, i guess i just don't see how it would be cursed.

Let's put this in a format that makes things easy to understand:

People who started the cruse = Trolls/ 12 year old childen or immature teenagers trying to freak out little children (I do not main, strictly with the use of the internet).

People who are scared by the curse = Just plain credulous. I mean who will think things can litteraly come out of a television and kill you, even if one does not understand how a television works, it should know that this is not possible. (because why would an uneducted person even buy or happen to find the game and if they thing really is a magical portal that can get things to come out and kill you, why is it sold to the public ?)

Funny thing is that the Tail's doll cruse is hard to achieve so I wonder how can people really be affected, it should be something that people accidentally did (play as Tail's doll once, etc.), so these trolls fail.

It is not even logically possible for such an event of happening, if you studied how a television works you know that nothing can come out of the screen and kill you (3D is just an illusion...and a headache).

so in layman's terms,

Staerters of curse = people who want to scare

Follower/belivers = Credulous people

The curse of Tails doll = hard to achieve which is dumb

Curse possibly: Not the slightest.

So in conclusion, it is not possibly for a video game to be "cursed" unless it is purposely designed to affect your console/internet connection or anything relating to the console... or if it is an ARG (then the curse changes more into a promotion for various reasons depending on the company, no killing or something that affects your personal life directly would be applied here then - unlike Tail's doll).

I agree 100% what Didowe just said above me. To believe in curses, black magic, satanic rubber duck rituals, etc. is ridiculous. If you want to believe a fictional image on a TV has the power to kill you, be my guest. I'll stay firmly in my own rational beliefs.

There is one exception though, although it's a bit different than the "cartoon character sentences me to die in X amount of days." That would be the Madden Curse. I don't think it's the results of some voodoo witch doctor or anything like that, but considering the track record it has (From the first Madden cover with Barry Sanders in 1999 and going strong since) it's tough not to believe that some bad luck goes with the cover. And of course the Cleveland Browns have the cover athlete for the next Madden, they never catch a break.

No I don't believe that video games could ever be cursed or evil. THe doll thing sounds freaky though cause I'v seen alot of movies

I totally believe a game can be cursed. Whenever i plat Fable 3 bad things always happen to me. The last time i played it my boyfriend had broken up with me for no reason and whenever i did play it something always went wrong in my life. Probably just a coincidence but i don't get why bad things always happen when i play it.

I don't think a game can be cursed, but I sometimes like to think that the Missingno in Pokemon Yellow is an demon. :3

Yep, I think they can be actually cursed! Why? Spirits can possess in any kind of item, and in this case, a game, and it'd glitch itself, haunt us, make the game itself way more harder. You might be fighting monsters that aren't even a part of the game! =D

If you believe in curses then yes, but if you don't then no. Because if you believe in them, (which I do not) then I suppose just about anything could be cursed that you encounter in everyday life and there's no reason that it wouldn't be a video game.

MegaRevolution1 : YES! Once I locked 101 in 1: Explosive Megamix in a closet. 2 weeks later, it was magically out, and the cardridge was missing. It was weird... probably a cursed game.

If I ever find a cursed game, I'm throwing it into an incinerator. >.> 

Yeahhh ... but seriously, I greatly doubt it. A game might have glitches, but curses? No. It's about as likely as one of those chain letters coming true. 

Superman 64 wasn't cursed by dark magic, but it was programmed by Lex Luthor for the sole intent of making gamers hate Superman and all he stands for. I guess that's why gamers are so evil now, with fanboys and trolling and whatnot - our moral values died with Superman 64. Lex Luthor will be here to force us to apply for Lexcorp jobs soon enough.

If any random object can be cursed, then I supposed a game could be cursed. But even if 1 cursed copy of Sonic R exists, it doesn't mean they are all cursed. I'd say one angry dark wizard that was mad Sonic Extreme wasn't released cursed one copy and it's legend spread. Or something like that ...

Games can be like this, I never buy the ones that are.

Metal gear solid is cursed! It can read your mind and vibrate your effin controller!
And POKEMON!!!Because it teaches you to control satanic creatures with your mind and stuff!!! The gang members on the streets think about pikachu telling them to kill that SOB!!!!
Oh and Resident evil 1 which limits your saves and only gives you 6 bag spaces!!! DOUCHEBAGS!!!!

I think curses are just a bunch of hogwash. I tend to do every superstitious thing that is supposed to kill you and I'm good. No chopped off limbs, decapitated body, all my organs are still here safe and sound. I have walked around a few supposedly haunted buildings/rooms, and saw nor felt nothing. Curses are superstition and inanimate objects aren't any more evil than we see it as.
