Yesterday I typed in vizzedboard at school and it said site blocked, but for vizzedboard has never been blocked at my school. I don't think any one told them about vizzedboard, but at school was usually were I checked and posted posts. Now I have to make time to post at home, but at home, I'm usually in the retro game room. Hope your school hasn't blocked vizzedboard.

Most schools have to block sites like this. Mostly it is because schools want you to actually study, not spend all day playing games. This was a big problem at the school I worked for (i was the assistant librarian). Trust me, it is not more fun for them having to constantly go around telling people to get off their games and get on task. And, if they do not they will often get in trouble with the principle or even lose their jobs. I know that school is not exactly fun, and anyone would want to play a nice game after their math homework, but the school boards are really really...aggressive. Half the time it is their rules and if the employee does not follow them...well trouble follows. Hard fact of life, but that is how it is.

yeah that does suck.... but if you look at it from the schools perspective it doesn't make a lot of sense that they are providing students with internet access in order to play games or post on message boards.

I wonder how they go about blocking sites? They do it manually or what?

Are you able to access a proxy and get on vizzed that way? Maybe we should make a new domain and mask it with something that sounds like a school site like vizeducation.edu

it's probably manually by every school.

I imagine they would have some sort of log of where activity is going and they block access to the things that are wasting bandwidth or otherwise causing problems.

Actually, this is what my school does.

The server itself is a proxy that blocks every website containing the word "game" or "proxy". Certain websites are manually blocked by the huge technical section of the school. They actually go onto proxies and before blocking them, register to receive the emails of all new proxies so they can easily block a few ones each day.

I'm sorry a school blocked this site. That must mean the world is a bad place.

Sarcasm aside, I would have typed this site in expecting the site to be blocked. Of course, it was hilarious when I typed in the name of a band with a disturbing logo, and the site wasn't blocked. I used to use the Nick.com forums at school, and they blocked it eventually. Doubt they blocked the game where a dog sniffs another dog's butt, though. I was a comedy hit when I played that game in class when fart jokes were still funny. People also loved when I played the game on Nick.com about the kid who pees himself.

The Junior High blocked an immature game about simply vomiting, sadly. I loved that game, too. People also used to use the chats on the computers and hope they wouldn't get caught.

My school is in a hick town, so I could probably go on the site of a band with nasty everything about it. It was funny to scare a friend with that gross band logo, of course. Hehe.

I don't know why they blocked vizzedboard. Because, I was on vizzedboard last year and this year at school. My teacher allows us 30 minutes of free time every day. He tells us to play games, listen to music( on the computer), watch videos, and do work for other classes. Some how the school must have found vizzedboard. My teacher doesn't have to tell us to stay on task because we are good teens. And plus I don't have time to not work, considering the fact that I'm waiting for a letter for the Insitute of Children's Literature, so I can start publish my books.

I used to go to a school and they have internet games on the computers but no public sites are allowed. So no YT but you can play games like there is no time at all.

I guess I'm lucky. I was homeschooled . I have generally been able to use the site, no prob.

Although it sucks it seems expected. It is a "social network" with message boards, chat rooms, and private messages. I feel bad for you, but I'm not completely shocked. It just sucks.

Well that sucks. My school blocks some sites too but I have not been at the vizzed board at school so I do not know about that. I remember back in elementary I would get mad at the filter for blocking nick.com or cartoonetwork. Oh well, it is school afterall, what do you expect. Maybe you can find time at home and split your posting and gametime in one run while your at home. Filters are pointless anyway, they are more of a nusisance and block sites and utilities that are not inappropriate at all and generally create more hassle than safety in my experience of using them, but the schools I go too dont really have any kids into going on bad sites so maybe my opinion is sort of invalidated there :p.

Well, it is school as you have all pointed out. I guess I can split time at home between posting and gaming, but vizzedboard being blocked is not what makes me mad, but the fact that jiji.com has not been blocked, and that game site has pornography games. They'd rather block a good safe game site and not a filthy one like jiji.

May I know exactly how you get access to the computer, in my school, you can relax and play games after doing IT.

I think Vizzed is blocked because it is a forum, most forums are blocked due to sigantures containing "pron" or mature language or topics.

So they had to block Vizzed "because of safety reasons".

I wonder if a teacher walked behind you and sew you using this site or what Geeogree said.

I don't know why they blocked Vizzed. You could show the Principal that everything is appropriate and that there is no reason to have Vizzed blocked. Just a suggestion.

Videogamegod : Sites like this are blocked in educational environments for a reason. It isn't always the content, but the point of the site. Wikipedia was blocked at my school for the notoriety of it.
