So I'm looking for a new first person shooter game that has awesome multiplayer online (free multiplayer I don't wanna pay $$$ every month). Please do not recommend COD or Halo games I despise those.

Requirements:
- Big Maps (with no boundries if possible)
- Lots of weapons (Rockets and machine guns my favorite)
- Stats & Ranks
- People online (Nothing worse then getting a game where there are empty servers)

Well the only fps that I've played online is WolfTeam by Softnyx. I'm not sure if you'd like that one though since the maps aren't all that big. It's interesting though because some of the gameplay modes give you the ability to change into a werewolf whenever you'd like. Just have to keep an eye out for hackers and glitchers.

I've had a lot of fun with this game http://www.gamersfirst.com/warrock/ . It's a F2P online FPS called WarRock. There are some big maps in the game, and there are premium items, but it's still fun without them. I haven't played it in a year or so (I'm downloading it now however) so I'm not sure how active it is now.

If you want plenty of pretty good FPSs with lots of players you should check out some of the games that Steam has, like Counter Strike or Team Fortress 2.
In fact Team Fortress 2 is currently on sale for $9.99 USD, which is 50% off the regular price.
