While I was going through some pictures, I found a picture of a sunset that I took a while back while at some amusement park. I was on a ferris wheel alone during sunset and it just so happened to over look this lake which reflected the sunset in the most beautiful way. Probably never gonna see it again though.
So where was the most beautiful sunset you have ever seen? And if you never saw a beautiful sunset, where do you think would be the best place to see one? Some pictures would be nice too. I can't post mine since its a real copy not a digital one.

I have them all the time, even in winter. The red is peeking out of the nearby highlands, it's amazing.
In winter, you see the red through the falling snow.

If I can actually slow myself down long enough to look I find beauty in just about every sunset I've ever seen. The colors are incredible almost always, I remember a couple in TX after the evening thunderstorms with multiple rainbow's now that I think of it that has gotta be #1 sunset ever. There was something like 5-10 rainbows everywhere and lot of big patches of clouds to play with the light, this was like 20 years ago and I still remember it. |

fightorace : I wish I could have seen that. You are lucky to have such a great memory like that. Those are the kinds of things that you eventually remember when you are older. You hold on to that thought. Something I really want to see in my life though is a sunset on the beach. I know it's really cliche but all the hype gets me wondering if it really is that great.

the last time I saw a cool sunset was when I went to visit my mother in Alberta, and we had a BBQ by the lake side with all the family, and it was a really gorgeous evening having the sun beam off the lake.

tonetone714 : sunrises are just as nice as sunsets. the only difference is the cool, crisp air in the morning and the warm air during sunsets. I really like sunrises too because of how quiet it is and it's a really good time to think. That's a very nice picture. I actually have never seen a cactus in real life. That one looks huge!

Wow, I don't remember. I've seen some pretty good ones on road trips. But I couldn't tell you exactly where I was when I saw "the one." I've seen about 3-5 sunsets I vaguely remember that are worth mentioning. Great view. -------------------- |

On my way home and I just saw another beautiful sunset. It's at that time where the trees are just beginning to turn their autumn colors. The sun is hitting them in a way that gives them this bright gold color. And I can see this soft shade of pink-purple on the horizon. I just so happen to have 3G so I thought I would post this while it was still fresh in my mind. Sorry, no picture.

rendezvous564 : yea that's a saguaro cactus I think that's what they are called, and they get huge most are around 10 feet tall but there are plenty that are bigger then that. -------------------- |

Well the only time I've seen the most BEAUTIFUL sunset like the one you described was when I went to Chile. I went mountain climbing with a few friends...and I noticed the sky and sun beaming orange mixed with the blue/purple/pink sunset. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! Best way to see a sunset is on a high altitude..like a mountain.  -------------------- |

YourMajestyKen : Chile + moutain climbing + beautiful sunset = I don't know but I bet its awesome! I would pay for an experience like that. I have never been to Chile nor gone mountain climbing. Sounds like it must've been a lot of fun. I probably wouldn't make it up five feet.
