Metal_25 : I don't want to start an argument, but please, do tell why you think so. I have not dived into religion about it, haven't just stated "its wrong to kill babies", and haven't said "It should be illegal!", I though I was being calm about the whole thing, but your eyes must see something my don't.

JazzCoon : Well, to be truthful, your last sentence makes you seem pretty haughty. What makes your viewpoint so logical and scientific? It seems that you expect us to automatically agree with you, as if your viewpoint is incontrovertible; yet you have nothing to substantiate it. Why is it wrong to get an abortion due to rape? Only because? You do nothing more in your argument than show opposition. Your post has nothing to do with logic nor science.

I believe that abortion should only be carried out if having the baby would badly harm or kill the mother, or if the baby would not survive anyways/or is already dead. Life is a precious thing, and is not to be toyed with. It is the most valuable thing period, in my opinion.

I think that it is a though decision for everybody. Abortions has pros and cons. The pro: don't have to raise too many babies. Cons:Hard for the poor people because of cost, and for religious reasons.

Abortion is legal. it is the womans choice. it is even better to abaort in some cases. if a woman is single or has several children or can barely support herself in the fisrt place it is not right to have the child. the living conditions would be bad for the child as well as adding additional stress on the mother who has enough problems as it is.

I think it should be legal up to a point, thus being said its the womens choice and for all you people that are going to say the bible this and that i dont care those are your beliefs and they are not beliefs i share with you, But to get your wheels spinning God did give us free will so it wont matter weather its illegal or legal cause people will do what what they want if they feel its that much of a neccesaty. i think Abortions are wrong and should be illegal your killing a living life. its kind like murder or something no one should ever kill a living thing. Perents should put the baby up for adoption if they arent able to care for the child. Thats just my opinion.

diabeticzach : I'm not really giving my opinion on the matter, 'cause I'm actually not sure if it should be legal or not. But the argument that they'd do it even if it was illegal is moot. The same can be said of any crime, but it certainly reduces the number of times it will happen.

To be honest I really don't give a crap if it's legal or not. Sure it's wrong but a lot of other things that are wrong that people do are legal....I really just don't see what the big deal is.

I agree with jmc1097, but I'm more slanted to say that it should be illegal, because you put it on yourself, and you need to tough it out. It's your fault, not a doctors.

Yes, I agree also that it is opinion based.
People are raised up with different values, grow in different environments, so yes.

I go with the 'legal' part though.
It's easy to speculate over the conditions, but I just don't see how
can we say that "don't get pregnant" or "don't have unprotected sex" etc.
Sometimes these things just happen, because you go with your emotions,
which, obviously, isn't always the wisest thing to do.
But that doesn't make anyone a bad person.
I don't see abortion as a way to cover up one's mistakes.
It's just an act.
Yes, it even might be a killing act, depends do you consider fetus a human being.
People have killed each other for centuries, especially over power and religion.
New time religion seems to be - no religion.
So it's easy to go 'yes' for abortion without no religious background at all.

Some women don't go for abortion even when they're raped.
Other women go for abortion every time they can.
It's how nature works - balance.
It's like a code, somewhere inside of us.

It's a hard topic and people usually end up fighting over it,
but I like to read other points of views and I hope I don't sound to oppressing myself.
