Name 1 or 2 PSP or DS games that you think EVERYONE should play, I need some good recommendations.
My wife will be going into labor any day now and I plan to spend the 2 nights at the hospital with her (that's 3 days total). There's a good chance that I'll have a lot of free time (when the wife and baby are sleeping or she's nursing, etc) as to why I'm bringing my PSP and DS.

a really good game I can recommend to you is Pokémon mystery dungeon explorers of time or something like that you've probably played it. If not it's a good game and has a really good story line as well which you don't get in most Pokémon games any more. Or the sister game to that which I don't remember the name of but you probably know what it is.
Also one I'm really fond of is Resident Evil DS which is a remake of Resident Evil 1, but it's still a good game especially if you like that series. I'm lost but this looks intriguing.... well For the psp I would say god of war chains of Olympus, and final fantasy crisis core are some good choices.

You should check out YS Seven for PSP. It's similar to Zelda but in this installment you have 2 others AI controlled fighting with you and you can switch out different members (up to 3). You'll get 30+ hours out of it. -------------------- |

This was listed above but you should try bowsers inside story. Very fun game in my opinion. I looked at videogame gods post and while I have not played it, scribblenauts seems like a interesting game.

I highly recommend playing Metal Gear: Portable Ops on the PSP, it is the best portable MEtal Gear game ever with the original Metal Gear Solid feel

Wario Ware Touched was the most amazingly fun game when I first played. I could not put it down. The micro games are fun and it's all fast paced. There's cool souvenirs and it's a good way to go through a day or few.

You should try Rock Band: Unplugged, it's really demanding of your hands, because you switch the instruments back and forth with the R and L buttons, it makes you feel like a king.
With DS games, I'd suggest Bowser's Inside Story, because it's a really good RPG.

For DS: Yes I agree Mario is good. Also try Puzzle Quest Galactrix. It's actually quite a good game, one of my favourite DS games anyway. I play it all the time. Good story line. Puzzles. Far off galaxies. The whole bit.
