The original episodes are the best. I think that after the movie the people who do the show made spongebob and patrick more idiotic and childish as the show went on. that's part of the reason I don't really like the newer episodes.

I agree with KSCJR. It was cool back when it first came out. I mean the first few seasons were actually pretty good, but now it's all just crap. I think Nickelodeon is running out of ideas and plots plus Spongebob is a gay sponge. I can pretty much sum that up in three words:

Here's my take on the show. Back in the day, Spongebob was an okay show. It was funny, interesting characters, and its fair share of awkward situations. Then my taste in cartoons became more developed.

Now...he is a wimpy, retarded, creepy as hell, freakish abomination that has poisoned the youth of the world! The show has died long ago, and has been replaced with demon spawn!

On the other hand, the show effectively hypnotizes my son for 30 minutes at a time. If I have something I need to do, I put on the show for him so I can work in peace. lol
